methods change, if you have R2R releases from all years it does become a bit of a task.

there was that pirate site trying to sell R2R stuff for a while so they implemented those host file checks etc

 

except the last AD2 from R2R has an issue with auth coming undone after a time. no fix/repack anywhere to be found...

Those "elitist gate holders" have access to the exact same instructions as everyone else. There's no gatekeeping, the info is literally in the same archive as the rest of the download. You literally just have to follow the steps, all the "gatekeepers" could tell you is those same exact steps anyway, so just cut out the middle man?

The old way, the installing, patching, keygen, had to be done for every single release, now you install the sub systems once and multiple releases require just a single click to activate, that seems like a win to me.

The keygen extension has changed and is no longer .exe but .r2rwm. If you don't see the pumpkin icon on the .r2rwm files, it means the certificate isn't installed. Just follow the instructions in the .txt file to install it

IMHO the moral of this story is this:

I think the people that get intimidated and lost in the R2R activation system are the ones that want to download and have everything activated that they could ‘potentially’ download of R2R, rather than looking for the applications they need and how to activate them.

These people only focus on all the activators that could potentially activate anything R2R publishes and get lost on how to use these because they’re actually not activating anything. They just want to be able to activate everything that R2R publishes without actually knowing what is needed to activate a given application.

If they would just focus on what application they need/want and then see (RTFM) what activator is needed for that, they would understand how it works. But instead, they want us to explain to them how every R2R activator works and what is is for!

It’s actually like going into a hardware store and asking what every tool, screw, nail or bolt is for without actually knowing what you're going to be using it for!

 

Remember that nfo and readme contains all what's needed to understand.

Sorry for the questions. I have started making music again after 25 years. I have now installed the new Witches Magic 2026 on my PC. But if I want to install old releases of R2R, do I just need to install their old Magic alongside it, or do I have to uninstall the new Magic first? And what do I need to install from their old magic? Like network block and ...?

 

Feel free to ask, that's what the forum is for.

Basically, the latest Team R2R version is sufficient and covers the older versions.
If you delete the latest R2R version, you won't be able to play the latest installed plugins.

Just leave the programs in C:\Program Files\TEAM R2R as they are.
When a new version of TEAM R2R is released, the NFO file will also tell you to delete the old version with the uninstaller.

I've attached two images for you; you can copy them to help you keep track.

When reinstalling plugins like VSTi or VST, it's always best to completely uninstall the old version, or in your case, the new version of the plugin, and then restart your PC. This avoids conflicts that usually arise from leftover files.

Therefore, if you have very old plugins that don't require the TEAM R2R tools, you'll need to use the included keygen.

 

Ok thx. So the older releases from r2r have a keygen to activate them. I ask because there are some plugins from r2r which they are from before 2026 and which they have not yet renewed. And I want to download and install them. So these will have a keygen to work?

All R2R releases include an NFO or Read Me file with installation instructions and, if applicable, a keygen. Always read these important documents and disable your antivirus software before downloading, otherwise it will eat the keygens.

I am lost too, but I have just System v1.3.1-R2R and it worked for 2 programs, so OK.
