What are some good sample libraries? Vengeance samples are over used so i barley use them. Loopmasters are ok but half of it sounds like crap to me and im sick of wasting my bandwidth on sample libraries that i am never going to use.

    @ MrAnonymous,

Firstly, it seems to me that you must to be a little more precise. I mean, for which kind of Music Style(s), any particular Instrument(s),...

As you told about 'Loopmasters', this is a good example of a Music Company that provides plenty of different Sample Libraries in many different Styles.

My favourite in the whole world is Goldbaby Dirt and Layers. It is incredibly useful if you synthesize your own drums, but want to add layers to make them more interesting and organic. This is since you are bound to be somewhat limited with your own synthesis skills and lack of nice equipment to color the sound.
If you dont synthesize drums but want something that is not overused, be on the lookout for the next Driven Machine Drums release. They only release 1000 copies of their sample packs. Therefore, they charge a bit more, but its worth it as the quality is fantastic too. I mean, I have to admit that the only one I ve got is actually Kd, but this release was the only one that the scene got ahold of. So even in this domain, it wont be overused. I m definitely buying the next one.

I do Trance and House when trying to achieve a certain sound but i hate to work under a certain genre so most of the time just general electronic music.

Vengeance and Loopmasters are just s**t... When i look back i laugh of myself...
Saying u produce "general electronic music" is not a good start... U need to know exacly what ur producing...

For example, i use: Uplifting Trance (Kearnage Recordings, Subculture)- Freshly Squeezed Samples, MyLoops ; Progressive Trance (Anjunabeats, Enchanced)- Freshly Squeezed Samples, Helion Samples

Ofcourse sometimes, when needed, i layer or design my own...

    Battery/Omnisphere... I'm good.
Add a bit of Kontakt here and there to spice things up :dancing:

Wave Alchemy has some good stuff, though.
A bit of advice, try to select a few ones you like and stick to it... or you're gonna get lost in the flow

And I have to mention 0on3, the guy does kontakt banks for ages and they're free, yes free.
The Legowelt JD800 is proof that you can have high quality for zero money.
But my all time favorite is Korg DW8000, epic pads all the way... I've said it and I'll say it again, this guy rocks!
