What’s the closest thing to an EMU Proteus plugin we have?

I forgot the real reason I bought UltraProteus beside Z-pane filters: it includes the Emu Proformance stereo piano, that was pretty good for then, so I could store the original Proformance module.

I then used a Fatar Studio 90 flightcase embedded, that despite its eminent company, it wasn't that good, I mean, dynamics was terrible.

Seriously, I can't get why you seem so upset about my answer that I thought was enough pertinent with the question, I think OP didn't mean to insult anyone, nor did I ever insulted someone.

Everyone gives his answer/opinion, and if you read carefully through the posts in this thread you'll notice I also wrote that the .exb I tested and compared to the original Emu modules I own are pretty terrible, most presets not even close to the original.
I can't speak about kontakt libraries, if are sampled from the original are probably closer the the .exb banks I tested.

    Are you happy now?

Yes, we need to pull up plugin doctor and do some nulling...
    jk

SF2 files sound nice to my ear, it has that "rounded" sound.

Emulator X3, for which i have a box full of cd-s, sometimes does not recall presets, it almost cannot be treated as a plugin, it is like a standalone app that can be loaded as a plugin, so it takes a bit of getting used to it.
Again, Cubase if i remember recalls it no problem, FL Studio sometimes wont, Also Proteus VX misses recalling if one does not tick a parameter in the plugin properties.

There are strings for the Emu X3 that sounds so good btw, weirdly Prophet 600, Jupiter 6 and some Roland sound terrible, unusable.

Yes, same problem as with the Kontakt or Dimension versions: Even Emulator X3 doesn't have all the original filters or the arpeggios of the hardware units.

Not sure, but I think you've mistaken Proteus VX with Emulator X3.
I don't see any option, maybe some hidden hack I'm not aware of.
