The well-known Boss Dunlop MXR?

Dunlop is a different company, and is not connected to Boss or Roland, so no, they're not going to add that into a product called "Boss Effects Pedals". Neither do Roland Cloud do emulations of other companies' products at all, only their own.

Back in the early 90's, I bought a Boss Super Chorus one Saturday morning.
Went to an Irish put to watch a band and drink Guiness in the pm.... got drunk then lost the pedal *_*

The BF-2 is the second pedal in my guitar chain (right after an MXR117 hah), and I will never part with it. I'd buy this pack in a heartbeat for that plugin alone if they had a perpetual license, it does exactly what it should. Instead, Audiority got more of my money last week when they released the Chief Flanger hah.

The original CE-2 Chorus pedal was one of the best at that time. It will be interesting to see if it is even close. Even the following attempts to improve upon it by BOSS were not as good.

    Brilliant!

Though I prefer Bill Bailey's take on The Edge (though he's alright I think) and effects:

    THESE ARE WHAT???!

//EDIT// oh, stupid me, these are software padels.
I thought this is some BMW heated seats subscription BS.
I would say Roland definitely is a brand that could come ups with something like that.

Yes, plugins. Though, you *can* buy a physical pedal ("PX-1 Plugout FX") that runs these models (and you can buy further software pedal models as Roland release them for it), so your physical pedal can be any of these software versions and switch between them, rather than being one pedal taking up one space on a pedal board that's only one pedal.

You can malign the Edge all you want.

He may not be a shredder, but he wrote some iconic and musical guitar parts, unlike 99.9% of the guitar wankers (or Bill Bailey).

Btw when I was a teenager trying to show off and impress the hell out of everyone, I did some work with a bunch of seasoned pros.

They listened to me blasting out a million notes a second, and said, "wow, that was amazing! Can you play music as well?"

That really hit hard and stuck with me.

LOL I remember bringing in a Morbid Angel record to maybe my second or third guitar lesson and said 'I want to know why he is playing what he is playing and why this all works'. Teacher just proceeds to show me a bunch of patterns designed to play groups of 3 or 4 notes as fast as I could just for the sake of playing fast. I actually wanted to know what all those fucked up notes he was playing was and how/why it all worked together. Got nowhere on the theory part of it all. I can learn how to play patterns and shit endlessly just buying Guitar World or GFTPM mags, he was basically a shredder for the sake of shredding.

This was in the early 90s heyday of Ibanez blowing up with the RGs and S series heh. Dude even had one of the custom RG's with the snakeskin graphics (mine was the good old puke Desert Sun Yellow haha). Dropped my lessons after that and just stuck to theory when it came around in college classes heh. Good thing I wasn't still taking lessons when I heard Godflesh shortly after. I don't think he would've known how to even approach that one, I ended up figuring it all out on my own.

The best advice I would give to any guitarist out there is learn to sing and play, or at least be able to sing harmonies.

It'll get you more work than any fx pedal on the market ever will (and invited to more parties).

Or you can just be the guy that waits until he gets to the 10 second obligatory guitar solo part of the song to wail away. (And probably look like someone dressed up for Halloween, trick or treating as a cartoon character from the 80's or 90's, covered in tattoos strapped into an Ibanez). That's the past, not the future.
