I decided to move my custom VST plug-ins folder directly to my C: Drive from my desktop which was under "one drive" and I’ve been having crashes so I wanted to make sure that that wasn’t the culprit. Right after I moved the folder to the C:Drive I did it ALT rescan in ableton and pointed it to the new custom VST2 folder location. I instantly notice a half of my plug-ins were missing so I said yeah, fuck this and grabbed it and threw it back on the desktop (the exact same original path location) and re-scanned again in ableton and still half of the plug-ins are gone. So I figured "one drive" is messing with something so I just moved the VST folder back to the C: drive and reinstalled everything that wasnt showing up. Once everything was showing up in the browser I loaded a project and they all disapeared again. So now I move the folder back to "one drive"/Desktop and repeat the process AGAIN. After 3 hours of this, I finally got everything to show up back at the orginal one drive/Desktop VST folder location, except that for whatever reason no VST2 version of kotnakt portable will show up in the browser no matter where I try to put it on my computer. I also tried downloading about 10 different versions to no avail. Mind you I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled different versions of kontakt many times in the past with no issues. (Yes im using all versions from audioz) All kontakt VST3's show up, but that’s not doing me any good because Live is looking for the VST2 plug-in. I run kontakt 6 and 8 portable. Last week I was cleaning up some things on my desktop and I moved the kontakt install folder on my desktop thinking it wouldn’t matter and I got this error message (Attatched bleow) whenever I tried to load Kontakt 6. It wouldn’t re install and now NO version of kontakt portable VST2 will install. This is a major issue seeing most of my projects are filled with kontakt so this is going to be a major L if I cant figure this out.

 

Mate, it says api-ms-wn-core-file can't be located you need to install Microsoft Visual C++ with that exact .dll in it. It even warns you in the picture you've added, how can you miss that?
