So I downloaded Cubase 14 from audioz (Team R2R) but I have no VSTs or plugins in sight. I would've liked a default selection of plugins to start from.
Is this intentional? Did I just not put the library in correctly? Or do I have to go and install every single one individually now?

 

Never seen this one before. Maybe it has something to do with permissions of your VST3 folder? Did you pick to install v14 instead of v15 for any particular reason? If you are just going to end up updating anyway, you might want to just get that out of the way.

 

I downloaded v14 because I did it a couple months ago and I'm opening it just now.
Say, how do you 'update' cracked software anyway? Do I go to windows installed programs, click uninstall, and download the new one from audioz?

 

All VST (fx plugins) by Steinberg should all be included in Cubase main installation however VSTi (instruments) like Groove Agent/Groove Agent SE, HALion/HALion Sonic, Padshop, Retrologue, Backbone,Omnivocal (beta) need to be downloaded and installed separately.
Also please note: some of those also have individual posts for the 'content' to go with that VST(i) too.
Spectralayers also seperate and an extension.
Go to Studio> VST Plug-in Manager and see what is there under VST Effects and VST Instruments [Tabs]
If you want to use your older VST2 plugins you have to enable those with the VST2 box in VST Plug-in Manager.
You can either uninstall Cubase 14 by Windows uninstall or run them both on the same machine it is upto you

 

Ahh I see I have alot of VST effects, but zero VST instruments!

Are no instruments intended? How do I implement them?

No worries yes for say Groove Agent just search that on sister and you will normally see release and content released around same time or search seperately adding the word content
