Hello, I want to start to record my voice for a music project, where I want to sing mostly by myself. And at same time I want to start to stream on Twitch (as a vtuber uwu). So I'm looking for a microphone that's suitable for both singing and streaming. I'm really poor right now, so it's impossible to buy mor than one mic right now, so I'm looking for a affordable mic than can do booth.

At the moment the Rode NT1 is the most interesting mic and my fav, but maybe you have better suggestions?

Yeah I guess I buy the Rode one. But I'm a little scared because the Rode seems to be really sensitive, I hope it records not so much background noises like keyboard tipping.... Sadly my room is not treated yet, but I want to do it in the next future, because I'm really into recording right now and I want to make more music without a DAW.

My first pick was the Shure SM58, but it looks like the Rode is better for my needs. For voice the Shure SM7B looks really promising, but it's not really good to record my guitar.

If you're trying to record clean with a mic in the same room with computers humming away any mic is going to make your life difficult. The recording with the mic should be taking place in another (quiet) room and run your (balanced XLR) cable into your DAW room. Control room treatment wont help much if you have a bunch of noisy computers with fans buzzing away. Hard drives in those machines make even more audible noise. Converting your HDD's to SSD's and running silent/quiet fans can help this, but only to a point.

Recording electric guitar (you didn't specify acoustic or electric) coming out of an amp should be fine with a SM7. Should be ok for vocals as well - probably not that great for acoustic guitar, but it would work. It depends greatly on what kind of recording quality you're looking for. For acoustic guitar and delicate vocals I typically use higher quality condenser mics for those applications. For capturing more "robust" vocal performances and capturing loud sound sources I would opt for a dynamic mic (like your SM58 or SM7).

Get a dynamic or a ribbon.

Sensitivity doesn't dictate background noise, the polar pattern, positioning and distance does. There's gonna be differences between manufacturers and models but as long as the polar pattern is the same kind you can expect similar background noise rejection on equal conditions The graphs on the manual will show you how the polar pattern looks at different frequencies.

There's also mechanical noise, so if you're mounting your mic on one of those arm-type mic stands and you're gonna attach it to the desk where the keyboard is, use a shockmount, even if you end up buying a mic that doesn't come with one.

My feed is 90% vtubers, it's about time someone from AS stepped up.

Question though, are you going to sing WHILE streaming or is it a separate thing? because if it's simultaneous, a big side-facing mic like the NT1-A with all the accessories might interfere with the face tracking.

    Haha mine too xD
Yeah I want to do something like karaoke and music production streams once a week. But yeah, yeah I never thougt about that it's might be harder to track the face with a huge mic, but i think other vtubers kinda managed this, so maybe I should ask other vtubers how they managed this....
Yeah you're right about that. My main room is very noisy because of the fridge, and my pc makes much noises, too and I live beside a very noisy factory .-. But my bedroom is really quiet, so I thought I should do recordings in the bedroom with a laptop. And room treatment would be much easier than in my kitchen/living room.
Yus, I meant mostly acoustic guitar. Actually I want to make music similar to Mount Eeerie or The Antlers, so kinda lofi character.
