In my day to day existence I'm a professional troubleshooter, and when it comes to sound I'm a semipro troubleshooter. I fix shit and people pay me for it.

And when it comes to everything there's plenty of stuff to fix.

What's the point of creating anything if AI does it for you, where's the creativity in phrasing a prompt?

My opinion is that, in music, AI is for those who don't know how to do otherwise.
But if you "ask" AI to write a song don't pretend you wrote it.

I am a MUSICIAN. I play (guitar) compose, arrange, record, mix and master my own music (and others too).
I also teach guitar and music.

Does AI bother me? Not the least. Is a tool in some"one" (or "it") else hand. You can't do it but want it nevertheless? Ask AI to do it for you.

    Do I use AI?
Well, the closest to that is when I use MIDI and Superior Drummer to create a drums track or Kontakt to do a Cello line.
It is not me playing but, at least, I composed the parts.

    Final thought:
As someone else said here before me, if the light goes out and the whole digital world collapses I will still be making music, same as I was when I started over 50 years ago.

I'm a sound designer, and I'm already glad there's a DAW where you can save your created presets.
The DAW was already a revolutionary, or rather, evolutionary invention. Do I need AI now? No!

I think manufacturers will have to figure out where to find the markets to generate revenue in the future. As always, sales are heavily psychological; the name "artificial intelligence" is more like "artificial stupidity." The only truly intelligent person is the programmer who programs the AI.

Since consumers' money is dwindling due to various problems, subscription models or rent-to-own options will become prevalent. Teams like R2R and their cracked products will only increase in number during these economically challenging times. AI will take work off their hands, and they will become a little more enslaved by technology again. Technology should serve you, not enslave you.

It's clear that everything will be monetized. And don't forget all the criminals who want to steal your hardware to get their hands on some cash. Taxes will rise, food will become more expensive, and this will also lead to relief if AI can replace your job.

Yes, AI will, already does, excel at technical issues, only need to 'hear' that, but it will never grasp the aesthetic, that needs 'listening' to.

If AI ever writes, er, 'makes up,' great music i would want to hear it, it's only the music that matters to me, not the genre or how it was produced. It's no ones bizness how people choose to make music, AI is just another laymens tool, good luck to all who use it, but you won't be writing hits with it, otherwise Joe Public wouldn't have access to it.

Each to his own, live and let live.

What are you? The first thing came to my mind is that I am an idiot sandwich. Why? Every time I used AI for generating songs, my ear suddenly got muffled like two pieces of bread pressing on my ears, at the back of my head I heard a voice like Gordon Ramsay screaming "What are you?" and he's constantly forcing me to say I am an idiot sandwich.
