    Aah the recorder.. was mandatory to play at school from 3 to 9 grade..
    I even assigned to recorder orchestra for one year to get permission to skip choir classes (Bad, bad mistake:trashing:)

    is recorder such a bad instrument?

    generally being forced to learn an instrument, is just bad for the future, to be able to stay interested and not being tramatized ...
