Wow - looks cool the design!
Nearly like the ENGL® Amplifier Plug-Ins.
    Code:

Best OF = they don't make profits like UAD.
Too bad it won't work on Mac 10.5.8

Some of the UI is spectacular, some is weak, namely the aliasing of the fonts and some of the knob elements, also the depth of field seems exaggerated to me.

All in all , very nice, but could use a little improvement in some areas.

And those preamp tubes are grossly out of scale. The cab/enclosure would be >1m wide.

I thought it is the SOUND that is important not the GUI
I just tried it and it sounds no better or worse than any other amp plugin i tried and i tried them all except the UAD stuff
And i have to say that most of them sound the same to me of course the really old ones sounds like a sworm of bees
But on the new ones made from say 2010 they mostly sound the same very little difference and some dev also like to cover the basic sound you first here when you open the plugin with effects like Guitar Rig & Voxjam and some other to make them sound "flashy" take away all effects and they all sound almost the same

First of all, thanks for the precious info! I am going to download and try this!
If it is half as good as the NRR-1 or the PTEq-1a, it's worth the download for sure!

Judging by your replies one would think it's a graphic design plugin, not a distortion plugin.

However, what I find really nagging me on any plugin is the completely unnecessary and bothersome fake 3D perspective. It is just completely akward and I don't know why some developers keep insisting on using it. Most of the best quality plugins I use don't have fake 3D perspective buttons and knobs and still work awesome. Stop listening with your eyes, guys. All that can achieve is bad mix and you paying money for the graphic design, not for the sound quality, even though some other plugin, possibly better sounding but worse looking, could escape your attention. *no*

Ignite Amps makes quite good distortion plugins and I've been using them for years. It's true IMO what guitarmaniac64 says... you don't profit much with using plugins like Amplitube or Guitar Rig. Those are mostly good for guitar players who don't want to bother [or just lack knowledge] with experimenting with different plugins [fx chains].

    Cheers!

This was designed and modeled in a 3D app, there's nothing fake about it, it's perspective is mathematically correct. (altho the depth of field, well, I dunno, doesn't seem right to me) *no*

I only comment on the UI as it was mentioned in the initial post and.. I do this same type of work for a living.

Was actually made by an acquaintance of mine Nick Motitz.. some of you may know him from his Reaper themes.

Regarding a 3D UI.. they do nothing more than add to the experience for most users.. while others, like yourself preferr the flat, minimal look.

Either look, when done correctly can be pleasing to most users... Its all in the execution.. I've seen some truly horrific attempts at 3D UI's and some fantastic ones.

    initial modeling phase..

Yes, in some points I agree with you:
    – Plug-Ins + software with 3D perspective design is mostly RUBBISH! Example > www.admiralquality.com
    – Making those designs with all the components requires A LOT OF TIME = higher costs.
    – People get used to it + then demand for 3D-sh¡T on every product. :snuffy:

Here I don't agree with you:
    – You seem to underestimate the look of a product, humans are very VISUAL creatures. It's tight bound with our past as primitive apes where the eyes (and faces) played a fundamental role.
    – People's buying attitudes are strongly connected with visual pleasure + excitement.
    – You can make tests: however good a product might be, people won't buy it if it looks too crappy!
    – Musicians, Composers, Artists and Producers are more influenced by aesthetics than usual folks.
    – After hours of working on bad designed stuff people get more tired.

My compliments to "One Reason", your 3D UI looks fine…at this stage!
