Is he the type who will be writing and producing the next big dance hits in 10 years?
Talent should be nurtured, but school shouldn't be neglected.

Totally. Something tells me he will be ok. His parents seem like genuinely great parents. Also school is weird. Of course its important to learn essentials, reading, basic maths some history and so on, but I feel like a lot of school time is just wasted on time spent learning something that you will never need to know. Theres also the importance of socializing which comes with school. But yah, I know the education system needs major reform. Not just in the United States. My father was a member of some sort of international educators group when I was growing up, and they were pushing for major reforms since then.

haha that would be awesome. Who knows?! could happen!

We need students who graduate so they have a chance in the job market. We need tradespeople who keep our power grid running, tradespeople who can repair and install water pipes. We don't need more lawyers and academics; we need farmers who grow vegetables and grain, and people who can manufacture and repair tractors.

Yes, @shinyzen, of course, more than two-thirds of what you learn in school is later forgotten or not used, but they have to learn all of it to pass the exams and ultimately get a school-leaving certificate, which is a prerequisite for many professions.

This whole planet needs reform now. All young people will eventually take over everything.
I hope they are smart enough and have a good heart and renounce violence.

The poor little kid. Only 8 and he already is starting to look 40 and has the mannerism of a smoked-thru orchestra conductor who knows his time is running out and no one gives a shit.

he will have to learn that later in the job a good singer tells HIM if a take was good or has to be repeated.

yes, lets hope so! I have a lot of little nieces and nephews, ages 4-18, and they are all great kids. Kind, intelligent, good kids. They give me hope.

I watched the video because of your comment. Dammit you're so right. This is not how a (mentally?) healthy kid acts/moves/talks.
There is a huge risk he will break in his teenage years. When he comes to an age where mates in his age can do what he can and he is not that wunderkind any more he might loose it. Especially if he is not a huge act then and sees other teens become successfull in the business.
But I don't think there is anyone to blame. I mean what would parents do when their 5 year old starts obsessing over something?
He is a poor kid, but not because of that composing thing, rather because there might be a ticking timebomb somewhere in there.
It's not healthy when you jump from kindergarden to being a grown up.
