Windows 11 sucks. I'm sticking with 10 for as long as I can. I have the LTSC IoT without a single problem. I see a lot of people online whining about Windows, blue screens, dead SSDs, and all sorts of other bullshit. I don't have any trouble with anything; it just depends on how you treat your system.

That's why defender (fw or av) should never be installed in the first place. The same goes for the updating and edge browser. There is so much garbage embedded in win10/11 to make certain that stupid update crap stays intact that it is beyond ridiculous. The only way to get rid of it for good is to disable all updating mechanisms completely

I never have any problems; I have my own solution.

    1) Add the folder where the plugins are stored to your antivirus exceptions.

    2) Extract the R2R Keygen using 7-Zip; you’ll then have a folder named “$TEMP” inside the plugin folder.
Run Keygen.exe from this folder. The advantage of this method is that the keygen isn’t extracted to the Windows Temp folder first, which means the antivirus won’t delete it.

    3) Add the VST3/AAX etc. folder (where everything is installed) and the folders from companies like “Waves Audio” to the virus exception list as well.

    Make music.

A LOT of the problems stem from having the production or "work" machine on the internet. Most of the issues encountered are with stuff that relates to "online" activities that are embedded into the OS that if not reverse engineered by the user will cause issues. Many of those "problem items" are still in the LTSC builds but are curtailed to where they aren't as "much" of a problem as with the retail versions. But they are still there and must be dealt with. The updating junk is of the most concern which is present in LTSC as well. Those "stop the updating" apps work for a limited amount of time and are then usurped by the unrelenting persistence of the underlying update machine built into the windows OS. Unless that is completely disabled, updates will occur at some point and screw shit up beyond measure.
