I get this message and the installation fails:

    account already exists.png

I can't find a way around it. Does anyone know what this is about?
    Thanks

Please uninstall your current version and download and install the new, repaired version:
    Bitwig Studio 6 v6.0 WiN/MacOSX/LiNUX-Team Totoro - 11.03.2026

    -------------------------------TOTORO-------------------------------------
    Bitwig Studio 6.0-
    1. Install the Bitwig Studio 6.0.
    2. Replace the "bitwig.jar" from the crack to -
    Windows: C:\Program Files\Bitwig Studio\bin
    macOS: "~/Applications/Bitwig Studio.app/Contents/Java"
    Linux: "/opt/bitwig-studio/bin/"
    3. Run Bitwig and enjoy!
    ************************************************************************************************************
If you want to set your name on the Dashboard, locate the '.activation-11' file.
Edit it with notepad and change the 'user' with your name. (Only 9 letters allowed).
    The '.activation-11' file locations-
    Windows: C:\Users\<YourUsername>\AppData\Local\Bitwig Studio
    macOS: "/Users/<YourUsername>/Library/Application Support/Bitwig/Bitwig Studio/"
    Linux: "/home/ubuntu/.BitwigStudio"
    ************************************************************************************************************
    Tip-
If activation is not working after copying the cracked bitwig.jar, create a file named '.activation-11' with any text editor, with your name written inside and copy it to location mentioned above.

The problem is that it doesn't install. When I get the error message, the installation rolls back changes. I have deleted any previous bitwig stuff ( even deleted some registry stuff). It doesn't allow me to install it. still.

    Try installing a different version:
Bitwig Studio v6.0 Windows Team BATs

    or this one:

Bitwig Studio v5.3.13 Windows Team BATs

    - Completely offline patch, like our previous release.
    - No requirement to create a Bitwig account.
    - No requirement for a clean install; it can be installed over previous releases.

    Almost.
Now I get a different error "An older version of Bitwig 6 cannot be removed.' Which is wierd as I haven't installed it and I went through stuff to find remnants of any previous installs, even in the registry. Not meant to be I fear : (

Sometimes when you get any error that doesn't make sense, saying something can't be deleted, it's because it is already gone. Or a script is looking for multiple files to delete, and since they aren't all there, it doesn't delete the rest because that would be an unintended behavior.

A solution might be to get a hold of Revo Uninstaller Pro, and re-install the last version of Bitwig you had installed again with Revo, then removing it with Revo. It does a Monitored Install, so it knows exactly what files are added to the system, so that it can remove them all cleanly later on.

The free Revo Uninstaller does not have that feature. Of course, you could try the free one and see if it finds your problem.

One other tip would be to firewall that installer, so it cannot even try to access Bitgwig's web server. Or if already firewalled, unblock it temporarily. You could also try installing with it offline, or you could try even making a new free account on their website and logging into it before you even run the installer. I kind of remember installing the Mac version without an account doing something like this.

Yes +1 to the above suggestion.

Also, leave Revo on your PC for any future use.

If an installation, or rather a record of an older version (possibly demo version 6), exists in the registry, Bitwig will report something like "An older version of Bitwig 6 cannot be removed." during installation and then roll back the installation. Before it rolls back, it is possible to move ("C:\Program Files\Bitwig Studio") the folder to the desktop or anywhere else and run Bitwig from there, but that’s not really a proper solution. It might be a good idea to download this and, before doing a clean install, try removing all Bitwig-related registry traces (and installer entries in "C:\Windows\Installer").

Hi @filtersweep, there are still some file remnants:

Deleting the Bitwig Activation File from My Computer

The Bitwig activation file stores information about your license. In some cases, it may be helpful or even necessary to delete the activation file. After deleting the activation file, the next time you start Bitwig Studio, you will be able to log in to your user account and reactivate your computer.

Here's how to delete the activation file on different operating systems:

    Windows:
    1. Open Windows Explorer and navigate to the following folder:
    C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Bitwig Studio (It's a hidden folder)
    2. Delete all files named .activation-1-1 (or with other numbers)
    3. Restart Bitwig Studio

    EDIT:
    1. Forget Number 3
    2. Restart PC
    3. Install this one: Bitwig Studio v6.0 Windows-Team BATs (see the picture)
