    Hi everyone,

I’m looking for recommendations on a reliable free screen recorder. I need something that can capture both my screen and audio clearly, preferably without watermarks or time limits.

I mainly want to record screen for creating tutorials and recording video calls. Bonus points if it allows basic editing, like trimming or highlighting parts of the video.

I’ve tried a few options, but either the quality was low or they had annoying restrictions.

Does anyone know a free, lightweight, and easy-to-use tool that works well on Windows or Mac?

OBS is kind of the default choice of these programs. Camtasia is the other, but some people can have issues with audio interfaces and drivers, etc. And it isn't actually "free". That's why so many people go with OBS.
