See if you can borrow or try one out. It does a really good job for Mesa Heavy tones.
There are a few tricks to make it sound great.
#1 Use Direct or Merged profiles.
#2 Turn off Pure Cab
#3 Turn off noise gate on input. Instead, put a 4:1 noise gate on one of the effects slots before the amp. Set around 2-3.
#4 Turn definition to between 7-8, Power sagging between 2-3
#5 Replace the profiles cab with an IR. Highly recommend Ownhammer Rock Box.
You should be good to go then!

It really depends on your need.
They were both used for live gigs for years by big bands, like Fear Factory, Megadeth ...

It depends on features and effects you want.
They are both reactive and dynamic.
