I really liked the Browser of Omnisphere 2, quickly you got to the presets you wanted. now Spectra has added another click getting to my Atmopshere Presets and it really drives me crazy.

I dont understand the design idea to put everything in another layer of a drop down menu?
It totally kills creativity and desire to work with Omnisphere.

Have i used Omnisphere 3 presets, so far no!!!

    Anybody else?

Sorry for Rant, but i hate it really.

I could not have put it better myself. I believe the general concensus mirrors that of yours and with any joy they will fix it. I haven't been too wowed by the new sounds, but possibly the browser is limiting my experience.

I can agree. Although it still does have great sound, I tried it for the third time and just didn't found myself with the workflow.
Uninstalled it (again) and moved on with other synths.

The browser is Ewww. I think why are my Legacy Presets now hidden, why do i need to click it, while they could have just put this in the normal selection, like it was before, in stead I see the meaningless cold sounding Categories like Analog Vibes ...

So its now Click on first drop down box, Select somehow Legacy and there Atmosphere and then you need to select Pads + Strings and then you end up still have to long to scroll or search to find the Lush Strings Preset, because Author (i have never used that), Then we havve this type select and genre, its simply not how i choose presets. Its so bad. ughhh

Why hide all those Legacy things away add them directly to the other meaningless Categories. **rolling_eyes**

Thank odin, I have not paid for that.

@playtime yeah but the browser doesnt invite you to explore them. Atleast not for me.
O3 is out for so long now, but not exploring for me happened ... bcs i think insert Tony Stark Rolling Eyes.gif ...

A family member has branched away from Omni some and this maybe tells me why.

It certainly has been a controversial topic since release and I believe they do have some plans to address this in their future roadmap, though don't ask me what that means.

In my experience, the 14,000 sounds of Omnisphere could be greatly simplified by having just two categories.
The first category would be the 6,000 synth pads which all sound virtually identical. The second category would be the 8,000 sounds which all sound like someone playing a ukulele with a umbrella. Underwater.

    Simple!

I agree OP. The way its sorted and categorized isnt necessarily bad but just having to do the extra clicks is annoying. Too much menu diving. But feature-wise, I am liking Omni 3.
