    The Water Curtain

The water curtain with writing (used for the finale of the concerts during the song "Avant que l'ombre...") was designed by the company "Aquatic Show."
The use of a water curtain with writing was a world first at the time.
It was Michel Kintzig, the artistic director of the concerts, who discovered this technique at a convention for the Renault company and proposed the idea to Mylène.
It was decided to use it for the show during the summer of 2005. It was presented to Mylène and Laurent Boutonnat at Bercy on September 28, 2005.

Initially, it was intended to be associated with the song "Fuck them all." In fact, the few spectators at the last concert at Bercy on January 29, 2006, who stayed in the venue longer after the show ended, were able to see the words "Fuck them all" appear on this water curtain.

The water, at a temperature of 14-15°C, fell from a height of fifteen meters into a twenty-meter-long and two-meter-wide basin located beneath the stage. Very narrow bridges allowed Mylène to cross this pit. The water fell into the basin and then rose again through pipes that framed the stage and were concealed by the set design. This same water was used for all thirteen concerts. 20,000 liters of water were used for each concert.
