I've downloaded almost all of the "main stuff" that has come out so far and yeah. Gotta be at least 3TB give or take, and that's without the special editions, BBO, or pianos. I've been doing stuff with it just to know what the hell do i keep, i need space for my homework folder.

It's good stuff though.

A minor question guys: has anyone been able to succesfully install the Bosendorfer Imperial. I've tried every possible advice, but did not succeed. If you managed to get it installed what are the pitfalls I should look for?

 

I haven't downloaded that one, but there's an update in the sister site for the synchron piano player's volumes, apparently some volumes were missing or something idk. Maybe check that out?

Hello colleagues. How much does VSL use up computer resources? Is it significantly less than Kontakt, or is it more? Or is it the same? Because I plan to replace most of the Kontakt libraries, at least the orchestral ones for sure.

By default it uses a lot less RAM (relies more on disk speed instead), but if you mess around with the settings it can be almost the same as Kontat's default depending on the library, which you would probably do if you had all libraries on one single drive or use HDDs.

CPU use is...worse? The synchron player comes with a CPU meter and for some reason for me it's always peaking, but it doesn't sound weird, and it doesn't peak the CPU on any other meter. Don't know what's up with that, but i've been able to load up an entire orchestra (including some legatos) with no issues other than the meter freaking up.

There's also the Flow view, which seems to be more CPU intensive and it does audiby glitch up for me, but you don't need to use that.

And there's also the disk space. They weight about as much as Kontakt libraries, but since there's not just "one" library of each kind, it can add up pretty quickly.
