    You need to let this run; Windows will attempt to repair your hard drive.

    Please install this program and post the result here.
    CrystalDiskInfo --> https://crystalmark.info/en/software/crystaldiskinfo/
    This program can determine if your hard drive contains errors or is about to fail.

    For this, you could try unpluging sata cable for boot and attach it later, but I see your already on to backing up
    Good luck and best wishes, been there once and I got 70% back.

    P.S. One tip for backups, if you´re low on money is to buy second hand HDDs, do health check, backup and put into closet. Just remember to spin them once a while(half yearly). I bought 4 old 1Tb HDDs for 20€ and HDD/SSD dock for 40€
    I used this method before I built my own server.

    It can, but more likely issues with the MB or faulty drive, also pcie-lanes are limited, dont know how many drives are you have attached plus GPUs..

    i buy HDDs second hand only under the following conditions:

    - when plan to use them as backup disks, which 1. will always exist twice (what i mostly do) and 2. will not run too much / will not be turned on and off too much in the foreseeable future.

    - from a commercial dealer, who is optimally not linked to a hosting company. then you can at least send them back back and get refund when it is damaged from day 1 on.

    - from private persons i do not buy single disks, but rather duos or 4-packs (of the same model). the reason why they said they would sell them is so much more credible for whole groups. plus you can be sure that it is also not a lie when the say it was their backup disks, too.
