    Hi guys.

I have a weird problem with my Keyboard. Everything works fine. But after playing on it 7-20 minutes its stops sending MIDI data or sending any signals at all to my PC.
Anyone had same or similiar issues with M-Audio keyboards. I plugged it in different USB ports but it doesnt matter. I have ASRock extreme4 z87 running i5 4670K. The KEyboard is USBpowered. I dont bought a powersupply unit. And no matter which DAW i am using. I tried with Ableton, FL Studio and Presonus S1.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thnx

dont know if this helps: i ve got oxygen49 and sometimes somehow the program, or channel changes without me ever pressing those buttons. Thats why it wont send any, or send weird, messages until I change it back to program 10 (for Studio One, Ableton). I also have a knob that sends messages without being touched. It seems Oxygens are a bit flawed.
Also, check if you have the latest driver.
    good luck

I had the same problem with the oxy 49, Turns out is was a faulty wire on the circuit board. Easy fix if you have a solder gun

Yep had similar problems with an oxygen 61. Had knobs and faders send messages without touching them. I never really assigned much to them either so it's not like I wore them out.

My cheap-o M audio keystation 49 seems to be holding up just fine... but it's mostly featureless..

soooooo... if the higher end stuff is lacking... what is a robust midi controller to consider when upgrading? :dunno:

I'm not much for Akai stuff.. as I bought the mpd 26.. and was disappointed with how s***ty the pad response was...even modded it wasn't that great.. :snuffy:

Have you tried to do a reset turn it off from the power button at the back
hold down + and - then restart it .
some times they just freeze and wont work again till you hit the keys seven times ?
other than this i think there ok

I've had same trouble. It was driver related. Sometimes, even closing DAW was impossible because drivers were hanging. I needed to power down the keyboard to close...
So...it can be drivers or hardware :bleh:

Monitor MIDI activity in your DAW or external software to see if there is something strange incoming when it stops working.

If you got another controler or midi interface with MIDI IN, plug midi out from your keyboard into this midi input.
When keyboard stop working by USB, look at wired MIDI input if it still "see" datas or not.
If there is a signal on wired, but not on USB, it is driver related.
No signal on wired : hardware trouble.
