I don't know how well known it is, but there's this patch called PPOOLL for Max which is especially popular among Ambient producers such as Tim Hecker and Fennesz. Anyone here using it in Windows?
Have you gotten it to work? I've been trying to set it up but with no success. When I googled the error someone recommended to download the external standalone and drop it in the external folder which seems to have worked for some people but not for me. Then another person commented that they never managed to get it working in Windows but that it works fine in Mac.

Any experience?

I've it working in Windows, what's the problem?

Setting it up should be fairly standard: Install the prerequisites, drop the ppooll folder into your libraries directory and create a "ppooll_host" patcher.

It's cool stuff but fiddly as hell, but that's just Max for you.
