Hey guys so sorry this was never supposed to be posted I wasnt finished typing and had to go to work. Idk how it posted i think my cat walked on keyboard lol. I also usually fix my rambling and get to the point after a few proof reads before posting anything sorry Im extremely adhd.

My Presonus Studio One+ subscription is done with.

Today I installed sphere manager and ran through everything as directed in readme but then launched Studio One and its not working. It says "to Authorize this computer for the use of Studio One, please select your version and activate it below" in a popup box.

I had this happen before years ago and had to delete some kind of license file then it worked but I forgot what the file was or where it was stored. I checked AppData and other places but couldn't recognize what file it was if there was one.

Does anyone know what im talking about or can help?

Now that your post is fixed: Maybe the license file is in "C:\ProgramData\PreSonus"? Are you a windows user?

I see no license type file or anything related or recognizable that would be related to any kind of license. Same for AppData Roaming AND Local.

AppData\Roaming\Presonus\Studio One 7\

is just a bunch of .settings files mostly

and AppData\Local\.. doesnt even have a Presonus folder.

**Just to note as well, I used software successfully on the last day of my subscription just Wednesday of this week 2026/02/11

Just delete any presonus / fender related folder an then reinstall? obviously don't delete your projects, but what you are seeking is a clean install where your version works.

You say that you are using R2R's Sphere Manager v3.0.0 to activate Studio One Pro v7.2.3.
I haven't tried it myself, but it's possible that Sphere Manager v3.0.0 only works with Fender Studio Pro v8.0.0 (and above)...
Have you tried activating with Sphere Manager v2.0.0?

 

Dev notes says it's supposed to work fine with all of them even gives specific directions for still activating Presonus Studio One 7 vs activating Fender crap

 

I uninstalled and re-installed jthis past most recent time before trying activating again.

Theres nothing showing up in the registry before or AFTER running SphereManger as well.

There is no ComputerKeys, ComputerName, DisplayName, or LastSync in registry under "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\TEAM R2R\Sphere Manager" which is why i believe the actiation isnt working because there error Sphere Manager throws says i cant find ComputerKeys in registry.

*According to dev notes when you run SphereManager.exe from command line with init option it is supposed to create/set the ComputerKeys, ComputerName, DisplayName, or LastSync registry values under "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\TEAM R2R\Sphere Manager" but after running it nothing ever gets added to registry.

I've doubled checked my firewall settings and any other oddball places that have any possibility of interfering.

If theres any obvious common sense fix or anything to try towards remedying my situation, trust me I've already tried it a week or two ago. I need more in depth fix bc I dont know why or what else could be going on that causing it not to be able to activate.

I havent but SphereManagers Dev notes says it's works with all of them and even goes as far to gives specific instructions/directions for activating Presonus Studio One 7 vs activating Fender cheap shit. But I'm going to try it with early SphereManger version here in a bit. Cant hurt anything thats for sure.
