I literally thought that was a paid AD for the software, made by the developer himself or something.

If playfully mocking with a dash of sarcasm is too much for people's feelings, they shouldn't be on the internet.

The ORB Producer suite used to be 4 plugins, one of them was Orb Chords, which used to do basically the same thing as this does.
I didn't mention the LANDR version of it because in all their wisdom, they didn't include midi out on their version of the plugin, which makes it a workflow hell and nigh unusable.

And the Orb Producer suite can still be found online. Just because it got bought and replaced, doesn't mean it doesn't still exist. And is still the superior software.

Guys, you really don't learn anything using plugins and producing music in the computer? Like, for real?

I'm going to (partly) switch to linux soon and my holy grails are about to become U-he & Vital.
It's pretty nice beeing forced to only use like 10% of the plugins I usually have installed.

Not as simple as Scaler? So now I know that you don't know Scaler nor SpaceWalk. Facepalm. Facepalm. Facepalm. Facepalm.

After re-reading this thread and seeing the way people did respond and didn't respond, I feel the same.

I keep a lookout for Linux plugs. I'm slowly switching to Linux in the back of my mind and always making mental notes. U-he and Vital and brilliant choices. Add ToneBoosters to your list for mixing/mastering.

    So much for hating.

This thread is getting more hits than "Shit AI Content".

We need to focus the hate more precisely.

Ye, just installed Reaper & Bitwig and installing stuff on Arch is really a pain in the ass if you're used to just run installers on windows.
But when it finally works, it's nice to play with.

I mean I'll probably never go away from windows completely (as long as I'm able to modify the installation image
to get rid of everything that sucks at MS [ms account, AI, defender, all those useless apps, ms store, etc.])
but somehow using linux feels like something new, something that forces to think in new ways and increases the inner level of creativity...
...plus when microsoft decides (as rumors said) that windows can only run signed stuff in the future (no open source, no cracked stuff)
or you have to use a microsoft account to be able to run & activate windows or it becomes a pure AI OS, then I can switch easily.
Actually I saw in a video about an insider preview that in that future release you only could use windows terminal if you have a ms account.
In current builds the copilot AI is integrated already in simple apps like paint & notepad so if you don't want AI, you also have to get rid of those...
the adhd is kickin in again, lol.

    Back to topic!

Windows is slowly but surely destroying itself! Now Linux just needs to get a little better!

Nah, Linux is nice already but more developers have to develop for Linux, like Adobe, Fabfilter, Steinberg, etc.
+ the package installation process has to be modernized dramatically... or everyone has to do it like U-he does.
They include a script that you just run like an installer on windows and a second later the plugin is installed.

In terms of gaming, Linux already has everything through Steam/Proton. If now creative software follows,
there's no reason to use windows anymore for music production.

I think the overwhelming amount of Linux flavours hinders it from third-party developer support. It's not about the technical stuff. It's the fact that it confuses normies. They don't want endless options.

I meant it as a use case being simple when compared to scaler. obviously scaler is insanely deep. I meant that with scaler, im just going to use it to craft some midi for a song. With SpaceWalk, i use it to just endlessly generate evolving midi for meditative / ambient performance. Scaler could technically do something like this, but it would take more effort setting up. At least as far as i know. I havent really dug in on the latest scaler, and stayed on the last one, as I did not like the update lol.
