I find some sadness in that painting, like chasing the impossible, even if you lose yourself in the way. It reminds me of that scene on Camus' Caligula but with a mother and her daughter reaching for the unreachable. The absurd stubbornness of the human being against the cold cosmos. The mother left behind the staff of power 'cause suddenly she's afraid that her daughter is going to be able to reach the moon for real and tries to take it away from her, shooing her away, her love for her surpassed by her need to be the important person in the frame.

No idea if any of that comes through in the sound, but that's where my head was. Also glad I actually managed to finish something this time, I've missed the last 3 deadlines so it feels good to finally get one across the line.

Great entries so far. @PulseWave nice starry vibe. @Grape Ape love the whole process, just you and your girl flowing with it, wish my wife's mom didn't crush her need for creative expression for her convenience when she was little. @capitan crunch the Crunch Orchestra never disappoints, Barney Rubble on timpani is the collab nobody expected and everybody needed. Also great image choice, thanks, host! :) @Magic Max man, yours really got me. That whole spell/incantation feel, two voices dissolving into the moon. Beautiful work, if that is Synthesizer V you have to throw me some tips to get to that level of realism. @yodadl you humble mf* Stunning work. :shalom:

well it took me FIVE attempts to make something i didn't think was trash to the picture, but at least i sorta did it this contest! i jammed in a braam sound, there is a bongo loop that bothers me, im unsure the hihats are too loud, i was lazy about programming the drums, too much reverb (subjective!) i should have sat on it a night and tweaked accordingly but didn't- really all the hallmarks of a macros production you could want. i was gonna sing on it but then i thought about it a little and decided not too. started out trying to make a more "dancey" song like they were dancing to the moon but now its more like some occult ritual where there might be human sacrifice ha.

Thanks @macros mk2 for your contribution here, both lyrical and musical. I find your music exciting; it has two beautiful core elements: the density and the recurring sequence. That distorted sound makes it exciting, and the synth sequence is somehow cheerful and positive.
