    Hi!
Do you recommend any platforms that enable artists to get donations from people who like their music?
    Like buymeacoffee.com or donorbox.com?

Btw. Do people donate artists these days?

    cheers!

as for donating. I mean i dont know if I even agree with that term . I have busked for years and played in venues as well, and I dont ask for donations. I play for tips.
    Donations to me implies charity
    I am providing a service.

The musician in question has to take care of that themselves and add a PayPal donation button to their website, etc., or mention buymeacoffee in their blog.

Of course, you can also contact the artist and ask!

That's the beauty of a forum like this: four eyes see more than two, and you complement each other, clarify things, and discuss to find the best argument.

If I receive money or donations on my website, the tax authorities will get involved, and I have to pay taxes on the money because it counts as income. Some bottle collectors here have even had their social assistance reduced. The government, and the largest authority, the tax office, closely monitors the flow of money. So think carefully about what you do and don't do.

Praise or positive criticism for the artist is usually worth as much as cash.
"Recommend me," the artist says if you were satisfied with my work.

In my opinion, tips = charity. I wouldn't tip at all unless I felt that the person wasn't being paid (enough) otherwise.

I mean you are entitled to your opinion but by definition "tips" are gratuity.
    Gratuity:
A gratuity (often called a tip) is a sum of money customarily given by a customer to certain service sector workers such as hospitality for the service they have performed, in addition to the basic price of the service.

    and

    Donation:
Something that is given to a charity, especially a sum of money.

I tip anyone who goes above and beyond in whatever function or service they were providing, or if beforehand then to ensure that they will go above and beyond while performing said function or service

You dont give a tip to the salvation army or good will. You give a donation.
You dont give a waiter a donation, you give them a tip.

in regards to music at least personally i dont want donations. people can keep their pity money i dont need it. I accept money when someone enjoys my music.
