Hey, Valentine's Day was generous for Mac users, but sadly I need some kind of bridge to fully get in love. I know about the DDMF and the Blue Cat one. Are there any other ones that maybe work even better?

Im trying to unpack .pkg with 7zip, but the extracted .vst3 or .aax not recognized in universal plug.

 

you should use Suspicious Package to extract files from .pkg files. https://www.mothersruin.com/software/SuspiciousPackage/

If I have to fix pre and post-installation scripts, I just run the commands line by line in Terminal.

Export button is in the top right corner. Put the file you want to extract to desktop, and then move it where it needs to go.

you're not going to get anything in a .pkg file working on Windows at all. They will be Mac binaries, unless you are just extracting presets or some other kind of non-executable data.

A Mac AAX plugin isn't going to work in Windows Protools, afaik.

Are you trying to get the Cranesong plugin, or Strymon from Flare to work? That probably won't happen but R2R will likely make a Windows release anyway.

 

That's right, I was trying to install or get the VST3s from the Mac installer to use via Universal Plug. Although I think Universal Plug is for that, right? Thanks for your explanation.

 

No. Windows plugins will never work on Mac, and vice-versa. They need to be compiled for that OS.
