I don't understand what's going on with the new version.
When I want to export a mix, the master fader isn't taken into account.
Another thing: the name given to the export is no longer the name of the song (but the name of the song + “start” added to it) and a new directory is automatically created...
Could someone tell me if there is a way to get back to exporting mixes as they were in the previous version of the software?
    Thanks in advance!

I don't really care much about the name. The real issue is the lack of innovation. All they've done since version 5 is offer a new synth and some presets. They rely too much on third-party plugins like Melodyne, Revoice, and Tonalic instead of developing their own native features. In the end, they only provide us with minor tweaks since version 6, so I just don't feel like upgrading Studio One anymore.
Look at the competition: Cubase has added VariAudio and OmniVocal. Logic has introduced Session Players, Studio Bass, and Studio Piano.
It’s like they’re just messing around with 'skins' instead of giving us real updates, just like modern game developers do.
Come on, Fender! Get it together!

    @all
Whats your Opinion on the Fender Twin Reverb Amp Simulator ?
Better than available IR Cabs/ NAM Profiles or Apps like AmpliTube ?

Ok, looks like AmpliTude is better than THU.
But my Question is, Fender Studio Pro vs the Rest, Who has the more realistic Caracter of the Twin Reverb ...
I'm mean they bought Presonus, or is the Fender Name only Marketing ?

The automation is BROKEN in Studio Pro 8. Not only for master fader, for everything.
Modwheel, Expression, Volume.. nothing gets exported to the WAV file.

I had important work - a full album - to export, written in S1 7. A great opportunity to use Fender Studio Pro 8, right? WRONG!
Older sessions seem to be broken. If users fear opening old sessions, you’re done.

Fade outs introduce a click at the end. Probably has something to do with the new feature, freeze tracks.

I also had a couple if epifanies regarding Fender Bender:

Why did they not change the name immediately?
Probably a 4 year sell clause that did not allowed them to change the name.

Fender acquisition of PreSonus: 1 November 2021 (signed definitive agreement)
Launch of Fender Studio Pro 8: 13 January 2026
Time Between Them: 4 years, 2 months, and 12 days

Fender didn’t buy Studio One to make a better DAW.
They bought it to develop their own ecosystem. Just like Soundwide / NI.

Also, The new Mustang Guitar Amp and Rumble Native Bass Amp sounds thin and lacks oversampling. The distorted tones sound absolutely horrible.

Coming from Fender, I hoped way too much. :knock:
First they dropped a few childish toy-like synths in V.7 and now crappy amps in V8.

Here's a basic search to get a lot of different sound tests and Fender Studio One Pro DAW tests
    https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=fender+studio+pro+mustang++vst+++amps

    Just an observation:
If you paid for Studio One Pro 8 and have problems or do not like it you should complain even though it is only $99.
If you are a freeloader, well that is like a starving homeless person complaining the food they were given for free was not of their culinary choice. Eat somewhere else for free or starve. You get what you pay for or as many it seems, did not pay for, and the sister site version has a lot of built-in stuff missing that can only be gained from owning it. Use something else if you think it sucks.
It is not even my main DAW and i can see that. Last - how many of you were alive to have ever owned a real Fender Twin or Bassman? Also a valid observation to know whether Fender decided their own amps were not going to sound like their own amps? Massive facepalm.

Every single bad review of a Fender twin which may have been bad luck, was from someone who was not even born when you could still buy an original Fender Twin or Twin deluxe from your corner music store. So they cannot possibly know what it actually sounded like. Comparing it to digital age emulations is like comparing apples and oranges. They were thinner and cleaner sounding then. If you wanted heavy Zeppelin style or Hendrix/Cream amphitheater rock you bought a Marshall twin quad stack, then.

They doing Studio One much more the insult by pretty much marketing it as a guitar processing software. All you have to do is lok at their ads and screenshots for it. Its all geared toward recording guitars and giving guitars amp and pedal sims/plugins. They're going to lose many longtime fans by doing this. They lost me already and I know plenty of people between here and reddit said they also cancelled their subscription. I always liked and supported Presonus and Studio One bc the founder is local to me and the headquarters is just 20 miles away and I felt better supporting a local company. I was pissed when it was sold to Fender but thats just business. Most people who create business that go on to be successful end up selling them. The guy is getting to retirement age and as a former business owner who also sold my business I know exactly how hard it is to run a successful business and Presonus was much much larger than my company. So i cant blame the guy for selling. I guess he didnt have family or sons who wanted to inherit it or that he felt safe leaving it with. After reading interviews it seems he basically just wants to retire and relax and take his money and invest it in good music and audio related gigs. What does annoy me is just that Fender bought it and are now straight up insulting the Studio One brand that took so many years to build a great product to give people from all genres a way to produce many types of music. But that is no longer the case. ITs gonnabe marketed towards guitar players for the most part i mean it already is pretty much.

I also saw fender came out with an MPC/Maschine type interface they showed at the most recent AudioProd trade show (i forget the name of the trade show) and it looks so laughably pathetic and lame. It makes me even more disgusted at Fender and what they did to Studio One.

Lastly, the whole name now just sounds so fucking dogshit and amateur.... "Fender Studio Pro" lmfao sounds like some shitbag software thats still left on the Dollar General clearance rack at the end of February having not sold a single copy throughout the holidays and months after. and the logo and marketing images look so fucking cheap shit and lame..

and... well thats just my absolutely worthless opinion on this is glob of shit. have a nice day.

they will not like negative critisism but someone have to tell their opinion. i agree, its horrible move. i think they dont realize that its wrong. why change name. why change the daw interface into something really ugly and un necesary...? personally studio one 7 IS the best.. here

but pro 8 is so damn horrible. the blue boot up screen.. the plugin scanning screen. the ableton style rack... the ugly new black plugin gui re design. its all just WRONG. i hope their sales will be less now.. they.. just insulted their users

Fender employs modern marketing strategies and hopes to attract more customers for all its products, thereby increasing sales across the board. The customers of tomorrow, those not yet born, will grow up with Fender's DAW software and AI.
