Haha, good old Moroder with Limahl… haven't heard that one in a while. :)

This is a very basic effect that you can do in pretty much any synth, or even with just a simple noise sample and some modulation.
As a simple example I made this (don't click the huge play button, just the small one on the track): LINK

I only used the noise generator in TAL-U-NO-LX with some chorus and then slapped on an autofilter in Ableton Live.
It's a bit sloppy cause I did it really fast but you get the idea.

Any bandpass filter cutoff sweep on any white noise.

Indeed! And don't forget to sidechain-compress it to the kick.
    Oh...maybe not.

Don't forget to layer a heart-felt (or gut-felt) fart. Re-sampled and stretched of course because you wouldn't want just a typical fart with no character. *yes*

Yeah, you can Paul Stretch a fart into infinitum (I almost wrote rectum), and then bandpass that.

You can use noise, resonance and modulate the filter's cutoff via an envelope or LFO.

    My result (one result):
https://www.firedrive.com/file/C306D045EB1D8207 (You have to download it, it's 32 bit) Some mod in the beginning, then a straight tone (with a filter/limiter/reverb on the master).

Depending on the filtering/modulation/automation/fx processing you'll include, it will sound like wind, water (waterfall, rain), an airplane engine or thunder... Or something in-between. :dunno:

Thanks for the info guys! I actually ended up recreating it almost dead on on KorgDS-10 Synthesizer for the Nintendo DS I have by accident.

Always remember that when you're posting YouTube or Soundcloud links all you need to do is remove the s in https and hit post. That way you can make use of embedding.
