But... What were you thinking? That was so obviously a really, really bad idea. Why didn't you ask other pirates? Don't you feel any shame?

 

You actually summarized the issue very well and it's unlikely that the OP will even reply to any of our comments on his thread: it's a bit like he threw something out just to see if it sticks.

You need to be a special kind of asshole to waste support resources on something you haven't even paid for...

That said, as a software developer who had to support many people running pirated copies, you catch the pirates unusually quickly. The program doesn't even need to flag it, usually they give it away themselves when they can't answer the simplest of questions any paying customer would be able to.
