Hi, does someone have this problem (audio or video "temporarily unavailable")?
All the other ancillary files are downloaded and YT videos are working.
This happened today, and JD is already updated.

I guess they did something to prevent downloading, all forums found about this problem are old (but I never had it till today).

 

Yes, you're right, they're having some server problems; I'm also getting a "Temporarily unavailable" message in jDownloader.

I was wondering why nobody asked this question before.

I'm a huge video downloader, including of course YT. JD gets updated pretty fast, but YT is changing rules even faster. Your only option is to use yt-dlp and keep track of their discord/reddit channel. I can give you some "recipes" if you want because it's extremely hard to get the zillion options yt-dlp has.

Edited: I guess half of this problems don't apply for people who only download very few vids far and between

I use Open-Video-Downloader which is a gui for yt-dlp.
It automatically updates when you start it.
Recently it stopped working but I got rid of the cookie attached to it and its working great again.

It has been a while since I set it up so I forgot the reason for using this fork or how I set it up but it works.
Sometimes you have to change the cookie.

They provided a new update today, now it's all fine.

 

Yepp something was updated inside Youtube HQ
online sites no longer work like 9xbuddy, 4kdl, ytdownloader, keepvid, ddownr...all of the sites I used to use for years are now banned
Plus I'm using Potplayer for years to watch YT videos and I can no longer play them with PotPlayer
The only software that works is PPTube (I know it's a funny name but the premium version is able to download anything from YT)

 

The same video can only be downloaded with jDownloader if I'm logged in! Apparently, I need to be logged into YouTube.

 

It seems JD patches pretty fast the tampering on yt side, but that was the first time that appeared to me that warning.
Again working, I don't need to login.

 

Man I thought it was just me cuz of how much YT I was downloading; like I was blocked or something... Good to see it's back online. I guess YT is cracking down. I don't download to skip the ads though, I do it cuz it helps limit my video consumption, in combination with ColdTurkey blocker.
