Ok, I knew about the ethernet gizmo (I still don't know wich gen are providing now), but the core is that you leave your (any) router in WAN DHCP and it will use the SL router in bypass mode as gateway, then you set your (any) router as usual subnet 192.168.blahblah, right?

Usually you need AI assistance to say stuff that is this foolish. Now you have gone back to basically repeating common Reddit/old-school financial-troll talking points. Saying Bitcoin has ‘zero intrinsic value’ ignores its programmable scarcity, decentralized security, and global network effect, qualities that give it measurable utility and distinguish it from gold, whose ‘inherent value’ exists only because humans agree it does.

It's easy to confuse cryptocurrency with fiat currency when you have neither.

    Seriously?
Gold is rare, and used in all computers, cellphones, electronic equipments, dentistry, space vehicles (protective shields), jet fighters canopies, etc.
All those applications where gold can not be replaced by other materials.
Now I'm curious to know in which kind of applications cryptos are absolutely essential...
It's easy to confuse cryptocurrency with real currency when you think you're smarter than Warren Buffet by investing in thin air:

Absolutely correct. I have 3 VNets and 1 guest WiFi. My DAW PC is on it's own VNET where I can control what comes in and goes out

I of course know I'm not smarter than Warren Buffet. I worked for one of his holding companies for 14 years. That could be why I would know that Berkshire Hathaway Class A stock are over $100K each at any given time, it is the most expensive stock in the world to purchase, and you need well over a million dollars to be able to purchase a single share. I know that Berkshire owns companies, which own companies that he has no clue are even owned by Berkshire. He bought Dairy Queen because he liked the ice cream. He could donate billions of dollars over the weekend to charity, and then finish acquiring an entire railroad. He was never big on high tech, and would go low tech, low risk, just keep the ice cream machine rolling and collect the money. Yet more recently, Berkshire's single biggest holding? Apple. Google next, and even Amazon. In 2008, Berkshire wrote off 11.5 Billion dollars thanks primarily to the mortgage backed securities and other derivates fiasco.

As for investing in actual thin air, Nvidia GPU's were cheap in the early to mid-late 2000s. CUDA already existed at that point, and people were stacking multiple Nvidia cards like the GTX290 and using liquid cooling with radiators and water pumps. Why? Pyrit, Hashcat, Aircrack-NG, and running rainbow tables to crack WPA2 passkeys with 4-way handshakes captured as .pcap files and then decrypted later in Back|track3. No-one was investing in air, but the electric bill could be a bitch. Penetration testers were using CUDA in Linux and had these machines already built. Mining was more of a passive activity.

This was a machine with 4 GTX 290s in it:

As for Bitcoin having 0 value, that's amusing. “Intrinsic value” stops being a meaningful concept the moment an asset can be exchanged for uranium enrichment equipment, missile components, or skilled labor. At that point, value is demonstrated, not argued.

If something can be hacked, stolen, laundered, converted, and reliably used to fund missiles, nuclear tests, and sanctioned supply chains, then by definition it has real-world utility. Dictators don’t fund weapons programs with vibes or belief. they fund them with things that work. North Korea doesn’t care about ideology, Reddit debates, or Austrian economics. It cares whether an asset can bypass sanctions and buy results. Crypto does that, at scale, to the tune of many billions.

If cryptocurrency had zero intrinsic value, it wouldn’t be capable of financing nuclear weapons. yet it demonstrably has.

It sounded great, but it was simply discontinued and no longer developed. Of course, that's no way to make money!

    Native.Instruments.Pro.53.VSTi.DXi.RTAS.v3.0.5-AMPLiFY

The PRO-53 carries on the tradition from the legendary days of vintage cult synthesizers. This virtual instrument, fashioned after the Sequential CircuitsÖ Prophet-5, provides the sonic properties of the unique originals while meeting the practical requirements of the present day.

Inspired by the immortal sound of the synthesizer giants of the eighties, Native Instruments created the PRO-53 to cast in software those qualities that have been such a major influence on popular music in the past twenty years: brilliance, power, warmth and beauty. Through Native Instruments' creative development philosophy, these timeless aesthetics have now reached the next step in their evolution. The result is the manifest re-definition of an original that was regarded as unrivalled until now.

    PRO-53 The New Version

With the PRO-53, the third generation of the virtual analog classic is now available. The synthesizer emulation has been vastly improved by a new oscillator technology that
offers an even warmer and more brilliant sound. In addition the sonic possibilities have been expanded even further with new features like a high-pass filter mode and an invertible filter envelope. The control surface was also reworked and now shines in a whole new light.

Using Native Instruments' highly advanced NSP-Technology (Native Signal Processing) it is possible to generate a software synthesizer that rivals its legendary hardware predecessors. The Native Instruments PRO-53 sets new standards without denying its origins.

What's new: no fixed limit to the number of voices, many more savable preset slots, velocity sensitivity, MIDI automation of all available parameters, an additional effects section, a high-pass filter mode, invertible filter envelope, audio input, LFO-envelope retrigger, and the option to run several PRO-53s in parallel.

The PRO-53 is able to import Prophet-5Ö SysEx sound data, which means it can read and accurately reproduce all the existing sound libraries made for the original. The subtle deviations from perfect behaviour, which are typical of analog circuits and crucial to the sound, can now be fine-tuned.
The huge sound library gives the PRO-53 plenty of material for all kinds of musical styles: 512 selected classic and modern analog sounds cover any possibility. 64 of these sounds have already been programmed for the previous version by synthesizer legend John Bowen, one of the creators of the ProphetÖ-5 synthesizer. In addition, PRO-53 comes with 64 new sound presets, which were specially designed to take advantage of PRO-53's new features.

512 preset memory slots are available where you can store your own sound creations. The PRO-53 displays a name for each of the presets, unlike the original which only displayed the preset number.

    Effects

A built-in effects unit adds multi-echo and ultra-fat chorus and flanging effects. This makes the sound of the PRO-53 'complete' for both live performance and studio production. The included preset sounds make extensive use of the effects. The PRO-53 also has an audio input for
processing external audio signals through its filters and effects.

    Integration

The Native Instruments PRO-53 integrates perfectly into any computer based virtual studio by supporting the interfaces VST«, Audio UnitsÖ, DXiÖ and RTASÖ. It can be used as a sequencer plug-in or as a stand-alone synthesizer. It is possible to run several PRO-53 plug-in instances in parallel.

    Top Features

    * Authentic emulation of the legendary Prophet-5 analog synthesizer
    * 576 selected classic and modern analog sounds included
    * 2 oscillators per voice, choice of pulse, triangle and saw-tooth waveforms
    * Oscillator detune and synchronization

I didn't say Nord had firmware, it's not in their business model. My point being, Ubiquiti allows VPN to be configured on the router

Native Instruments is in preliminary insolvency because of finance. Them losing business because they had all these third-party library developers wanting scalable GUIs in 2025 like every other plugin developer, and none of them wanting to learn LUA scripting drove their decline in profits, but they were already financially screwed.

Resorting to your old google search thread flooding tactic is tired. You had no problem talking about intrinsic value of anything when you thought you had some kind of a point. Well, the Redditor whose comment you thought you could play mic-drop with....

How we went from Native Instruments to Berkshire, cryptocurrency and Nord/VPN routers is impressive.

Also, just as a side note, Team R2R and other teams are of course to blame for the dramatic drop in sales. Rumor has it that the sister site massively accelerated the bankruptcy. That's just a rumor from the World Wide Web...!

Experts, of course, know that this isn't true. The real issue is that personnel costs were too high and the company received poor advice. They backed the wrong horse and hoped that selling to the private equity firm would fix everything. But the private equity firm knew perfectly well they would definitely get their invested capital back, plus hefty bonuses.

Who paid the private equity firm's profits? Well, now you've guessed it: the buyers of NI products, of course. It's essentially been a redistribution of wealth in recent years, bypassing NI and going directly into the pockets of the private equity firms. As soon as the private equity firm notices that sales are stagnating or declining, it terminates the contract and says goodbye, leaving behind a plundered and bankrupt corporation.

With the profit from the deal, the vulture capitalist looks for the next company and seemingly saves it, but usually after 4-5 years, with hefty, excessive loan interest rates, the next company is also ruined.

    About 8%.

Native Instruments creates imaginations. It's not a good investment strategy and a system where the question is always the sustainability.

They have to wait until the insolvency administrator has reviewed everything, and then decisions will be made regarding the division, sale, etc. There is no insider information because no one is legally allowed to say anything.

Oh ok I wasn't sure how it all worked with insolvency. So basically they are going to weight their products to see which is most profitable and cut others?

It's not quite that simple. The insolvency administrator is a professor and lawyer; he has handled many company insolvencies, with varying outcomes.

Insolvency Administrator: Prof. Dr. Torsten Martini
Attorney at Law | Specialist Attorney for Insolvency and Restructuring Law | Partner

First, the insolvency administrator gets an overview of the company's debts, i.e., its financial situation. He has access and the authority to examine all accounts and also to enter Native Instruments' office buildings and review documents.

The main focus is always on ensuring that creditors are entitled to their money. In other words, if Native Instruments owes someone money, the administrator tries to find assets that can be paid to the creditors. On the other hand, they also look at which product generated how much revenue, sales figures, and which business model is viable.

Then they assess whether the company can be restructured and identify potential buyers.
The entire process can take up to four years. My estimate would be between five and eighteen months.

My copies of iZotope and Komplete Ultimate were complimentary because I beta tested some of their products. Should I consider buying? No
