hi,im moving my cubase projects folder to another hdd on my pc.
I have a lot of untitled folders,i know when i start a new track it creates another untitled folder.
i would always save any project i start with some sort of name. i know when i save it it dosent end up in the untitled folder
for example i saved a track in a folder called dec25,so whats in dec25 is the cubase project file for that song.
basically im wondering can i delete all those untitled folders and i wont have any issues opening songs that are saved?

 

Keep them for now, trust me. It's possible there are audio files in these untitled folders that you are using. I think you can collect and save used audio files into the current project via the audio pool window. Or you can also use the backup project option.

 

I agree, but if you do want to delete anyway, check what is in the folder, audio files are at risk unless you created the named folder with create backup/

 

damn. open the folder with your cubase projects in explorer. Do a wildcard search for: untitled* . Switch to details and sort them by size.
any folder showing 0kb is empty. Then you can delete them.

But you should wait until you get all your stuff moved to the new hard disk. Moving a bunch of folders with 0kbs in them is not going to cause any problems or even slow down the copying process.
