i followed the instructions, got the Imperial Boesendorfer Imperial Essentials, moved the files to the specified locations
I have finally get it to produce sound, but out of the three magic files, the presets only show 'Room Mix' - 8 presets in the browser

the close mic'ed and patches presets do not show up no matter what i do
ive been googling on the internet for hours and tried putting the magic files in every place i could find on the internet, no luck
i looked up the patches sposed to be included and its way more than 8
maybe its a faulty library, wondering if anyone has gotten it to work
    thanks for any help

The recent VSL Synchron Bosendorfer Imperial is the bare bones release (one below the Standard) - hence it's only 12GB or so... The Standard release would be about twice that size and the FULL would about twice again the Standard. In that essential release there should only be a single room mix and a close mic - so in essence 2 faders on mixer and that's it. As far as placement of the magic files, pianocore, and sysvol files you need to refer to the PDF that come with the VSLEMU. There is only one way the thing will work - any deviation from the proper will result in malfunctions.

It has already been verified that the pianocore files for the additional packages are missing rendering those R2R releases unusable until those files surface somewhere. If you're not seeing the "close-mic" magic files it may be they were omitted somehow, or if they are present they may be corrupted. No one has mentioned in the comments that it didn't work per se, but no one mentions that it worked either.

One last important piece - the cache builder must be run anytime library additions or subtractions are made to the player. Since you were playing around with file locations etc, did you remember to run the cache builder each time you made a change?

there is a bug in the player, when using Magic Files, only the Standard package is available, even if the Magic Files are created from the full version of the license for the full library.
    Why is this a bug?
    1. Because microphones can be loaded via preset. (They make a sound when you start playing)
    2. Because during the license dump, all microphones are available for load and configure, and the licenses created match the size and quantity of the licenses from R2R.

P.S: This is too obvious a bug not to notice, the player was probably released in a hurry, so I think we need to wait for the hotfix.

anyway thanks for the input, i was gonna try another one but i didnt want to if i was making some critical error lol

also thanks for the info on the 'additional' releases, i didnt download any of those yet

Keep in mind that the official player contains all the same pianocore.syvolume files as R2R Player, they are similar in size and quantity, in addition, R2R Player can load full versions of libraries (but only with dumpMode 1) - without these files, used only embeded to archive syvolumes.
No need to look for a trick here. Also, look at my previous post, especially about loading additional microphones via preset. With this state of affairs, this guess is as illogical as possible.
Now it's disinformation, people will ask for something that doesn't exist.
