I'd like to add to that, that there is also love at 10th sight: Having another person in your life you feel so comfortable around that someday both ask themselves the question, why aren't we actually a couple?

It's not as intense as the falling in love head over heels at first sight but usually more stable and less crazy.

Theres a large group of over 50's women on dating apps who now focus on friends first and 'taking it slow'. I think they have unreal expectations that they should really explore with their close friends, not on a DATING app.

Thing is, for me and other men (and women) we don't want just a friend - passion and romance are still very important. We cant spend months seeing if it MIGHT become a physical relationship. In my case, both my long relationships ended because we just became sexless best friends. If that was enough for both of us we could have just stayed together. DATING is about romance that should be apparent right from the start, and if we start as friends most of the time we'll stay just friends. You cant manufacture chemistry.

Regarding long distance...no, I want LOVE not a business deal. Chemistry and love can only be clear in person, and i wont invest time in something unless we both feel the same way. Don't get me wrong, I love foreign women much more than UK women, my ex was Serbian, before that I had intense things with an Australian, Iranian, German and Brazilian who lived in the UK (im not a player, that was across 8 years). But we were together because we liked and fancied each other, no one needed citizenship (the wonderful pre brexit days).

We get a ton of romance scammers on the apps in UK now.

Have you ever analyzed why your relationships didn't last? Five women in eight years.
I'd be interested to know what's really going on with these people.

Here in Germany, there's something new: "Help, the self-centered ones are coming!" These are people who only look out for their own interests and treat others badly. Then there's the career model, where children aren't part of the equation, and a class of people with mental health issues, childhood trauma, for example, and other problems.

I believe that our world is becoming increasingly detached from nature and God, and that digitalization is eroding much of our humanity.
I think the world is spinning too fast, and many people are simply overwhelmed and long for the days before the internet.

I understand what you mean by true love. I think you should look where intelligent and humane people come together, like in a nature conservation group or through social engagement. You also have to give the other person the opportunity to get to know you. I'm not a fan of online dating either; I prefer real life.

Some women start a conversation like this: My ex-husband, the house, the debts, and being a single mother—oh man... you can imagine the rest!

 

Im just being transparent, you know nothing about me or the other parties, don't presume anything.

To a degree that is just dating - finding a good a good fit first time is very unlikely in life. You meet and try different people, both parties looking for harmony. And sometime after a month or six its clear its just not working enough.

I did find it fast when i was young and it lasted 10 years - illness eventually destroyed it. Two were rebound relationships that happened right after that long one and frankly i shouldn't have been dating that soon after, definitely my mistake. One was all animal lust, extreme physical chemistry and a terrible personality mix (but still the woman i fancy most annoyingly), and the rest were low commitment 'fun' relationships where we had careers eating a lot of our time.

Love working out is a complex mix of factors, and i treasure it when i see it working, my parents managed it. And when im in, im in 100%.

My last ex was a single mother and i was happy to help bring up her daughter. Ive done the growth work and bring so much to the table that's positive but that's only going to be uncovered by having a proper conversation.

People are definitely being weirder online now, really not committing to discussions online anymore. Or worse you cant have a chilled and basic life chat without surfacing something explosive. Yesterday it took me only 5 messages to discover the woman chatting was a right wing Farage/trump/conspiracy lover very scared of immigrants. I clearly say 'left wing' on my profile, maybe they shouldve frickin read my profile. I was polite, shared a positive counter to a couple of points but we were doomed and i wasted an hour talking.

I'm dying to just talk to real people in real life where we can use eyes, expressions, smiles etc...be human. And be talking because we are both interested. In spring i hope.

Sometimes I get the impression that some women aren't good for us and that some people get along very well without women, not because they want to, but because many women severely restrict our freedom. It's a very complex issue because, firstly, we all came into this world through women, and secondly, women make up 50% of the world's population.

At least you tried online and got to know some of your fellow human beings on this planet. In my opinion, two-thirds of the world's inhabitants already suffer from psychological or mental disorders. I think that the way we're currently living, nothing good can come of it. Turbo-capitalism, along with the pure materialism and the absence of God and faith, just the intellectual world, is simply destroying people. This system is not conducive to fostering the best in humanity.

What always gives me courage are people who are very intelligent, warm, and kind, and who can laugh. I enjoy watching my news anchors; they seem completely normal, have expressive faces, are intelligent, and are usually good-looking.

Out in real life, I enjoy chatting with saleswomen about their experiences. When I have to take a taxi, I chat with the driver. We also talk about robberies and crimes, and I ask where they're from. Answers like Iran or Afghanistan are common, and then we discuss the regime, etc.!

 

Just one question...is that sheep of legal age?
