I went to go see this French film in 1980 at the Paris Theatre on West 58th Street in NYC with my girlfriend who was a senior at Dalton Prep as a requisite for her French language class. I didn't understand a fucking word of it but she gave me a handjob during the film for my effort and support.

Saw this abomination last night. So many hilariously bad decisions. Caleb is the most unlikable Dracula ever, and its bonkers casting, there must be a good story behind it. I gather he does have a group of online fans who fancy his generally creepy vibe. Waltz is always entertaining but seems to be in a different, better movie.

The hilariously passionate fake AI google reviews are probably the most 'interesting' aspect of this movie. I think we need to accept Luc Besson was only a good director for about 5 years a very long time ago.

 

I was hoping for a decent version of the movie but gave up about 40 minutes in. Not even the great Christophe Waltz could save it.

Russ Meyer movies time..

 

After enjoying 'Dust Bunny' I decided to rewatch Mads Mikkelsen in 'Polar'. He plays a Sisu type of character. I enjoyed it more second time around. Never expected to see Matt Lucas (Little Britain) play such a Psychopath!

As with Sisu, it's tongue in cheek. Very violent with lots of great action. Terrific fun. Disengage your brain and enjoy.

I'm a big fan of Tommy Wirkola's movies (Dead Snow, Dead Snow: Red vs Dead, Whatever Happened To Monday, Hansel And Gretel: Witchunters).
I rewatched the 2 Dead Snow (Død Snø) movies back to back. The first is amazing but I prefer the sequel.
Nazi zombies vs Russian zombies what more can I say. Most versions are dual language (English/Norwegian). Features Martin Starr from Silicon Valley, Tulsa King.

My friend Cindy Freeling was in Russ Meyers film Beyond The Valley Of The Dolls, not so much for her acting ability but more for her bust line, LOL. Another that she was in was Hardware Wars which was a goof on Star Wars.

I once met Russ Meyer at a signing. He signed a couple of VHS tapes I had of his films. He was suitably old and grumpy the whole time he was there.

 

Yes I like very much Mikkelsen, bit of John Wick too here.
Actually I saw also The Hunt, no action but awesome.

A movie I found very interesting was XX (2017), 4 separate episodes, some pretty distressing.
