Hi all! New here so apologies of I make any mistakes. I downloaded Plogue's Chipsynth line of plugins to use on my macbook, but I'm failing to activate them. So, R2R doesn't have any official mac releases, but the internet said I could just run the keygen via Wine. I did that, and I made sure to install the correct versions of the plugins so they're compatible with the keygen (blocked internet access for them too), but it still won't work. I also installed via Wine in a windows environment, and that worked just fine. Whenever I try using the generated license on mac, it just says "This png file does not contain a valid FERMATA license". I've also tried doing it through Ableton rather than the standalone, and tried running the app via `sudo`.

I downloaded the windows releases too, and have confirmed both the top two version numbers in the screenshot match up with the files provided. The bottom one doesn't but I honestly have no clue how to fix that.

 

You probably need this: Plogue Fermata Engine v2.1.2.0 Incl.Patched and Keygen-R2R to create the license that is missing. If it says it is missing the license, since you are running the keygen in Wine you will probably have to find the license file and move it.

 

Yeah I have that downloaded already. I ran the keygen from there to generate the licenses, but when I try to use them for activation, it gives the error I mentioned about it not being a valid Fermata license.

 

check out the R2R.txt file included in the folder with the keygen. If someone told you that you could just use an unlocked demo version, I think that might be incorrect information because of the following instructions about R2R's releases for Windows. Have the person who told you that explain it in more detail, and theirs working

This installation guide is made for beginners to perform clean installation

2024 Update:
Plogue added new checks to avoid R2R certificate tricks.
We patched executable files to bypass the signature check.
Therefore, releases from 2024 don't require R2R certificate anymore.
However, because some products are not updated (like Garritan ARIA Player),
you still need R2R certificate installed for them.

Uninstall ARIA Engine if it is installed.
Uninstall Femata Engine if it is installed.

Install ARIA Engine release by R2R.
Install Fermata Engine release by R2R.

Run the software.
Drag and drop the PNG license file to its GUI.
Activation will be completed.

To activate Garritan Libraries, drag & drop libraries licenses to Garritan ARIA Player.
To activate Sforzando banks, drag & drop libraries licenses to Sforzando GUI.
To activate AlterEgo banks, drag & drop libraries license to AlterEgo GUI.

After the activation, restart the software.

Q:Why do I need to install R2R Root Certificate?
A:First, we need to patch ARIA / Fermata Engine.
Plogue software checks the signature of these engines before loading.
To pass that validation, we signed our patched ARIA / Fermata Engine by our certificate.
Thanks to our signature, AAX is working in legit ProTools.

Q:What is the difference between ARIA and Fermata?
A:ARIA is Gen1 Engine. Old software uses this.
Fermata is Gen2 Engine. Recent software uses this.

Q:How can I use Garritan library?
A:You can load libraries from Garritan ARIA Player.
Garritan Abbey Road CFX Concert Grand has its own player.
