RIP Bob. I remember his Ibanez guitar with all the switches for PU splitting, out of phase and I believe serial, that was so long ago in the 70's.

Thiis is a rough one and saddens me to no end. RIP brother!

This is the one and Bob leads it off with Minglewood. Now I'm gonna cry.

Rest in peace and thank you for the great music!

The music magazine Rolling Stone ranked the band 57th on its list of the 100 greatest musicians of all time.

RIP and thank you for the tunes!

I can't say I'm the world's biggest Dead fan but I do love a lot of their tunes, the sheer melancholy of it and he was a big part of it.

I'm sorry I post this late. I hadn't seen this topic, as I was dealing with opiate withdrawals when he died.

RIP Bob, you were the greatest rhythm guitarist this planet has ever seen.

I took a huge amount of acid last week and listened to a show from 1973. When they played Sugar Magnolia, I cried myself to oblivion, realizing Bob was gone for good.

What a beautiful soul he was.

What a long, strange trip it's been !
