I hope this is okay to post here, I'm not sure... I found a copy of Ripx on AudioZ, and there was a patch, and i'm trying to get it to work but I can't seem to make it function. It will install, but will not let me import any music.

What i've tried:
-running the official installer listed on AudioZ, not letting it launch and running the patch afterwards -- this ended up with the patch running an installer that got up to 100% and just hung there. No complete. I even left it on overnight and woke up and it was still saying "100%" with the progress bar showing, but not complete. I thought maybe that was it, but when I tried to run RipX, it would not let me import any music

- copying the patch files into the RipX installation folder -- i found the file location of the RipX program on my computer and copied all the patch files into that folder with admin access, and then tried running it and it still won't let me import any music.

-I've looked in every folder and file I can find (including a .py file) to try and find instructions on how to install it but i can't find anything

I'm not sure how to contact the uploader directly, so I am just hoping someone can help me here.

Try a web search there are many so audio blogs that might be able to help you installing any program. If not try finding another similar program. maybe there may even be freeware ones.

 

First - when asking for help, supply as much information as you can -

Which version of RipX ie 6, 7, 8? - also is it pro or DAW version
Laptop or Desktop
Windows ver or Mac ver

Each time you install this program you need to uninstall it first.
registry entries can mess things up too from old installs.

I get the impression the program runs - it just doesnt import "music"
or do you mean it doesnt run (you need to clarify clearly what you have done)

Are you opening files or using import under the file tab.
Have you tried dragging an mp3 onto the screen layout?

Or find another version and try that instead.

 

I've had this happen with the RipX installer before, and the application has actually done a similar thing when trying to import files.
On Mac, I just reinstalled it after cleaning up with FindAnyFile. On Windows, your best bet is to probably remove it with Revo and reinstall it.

This is about the Hit N Mix RipX they called Deepmix or whatever. Not the DAW. Even sometimes, after it had been installed correctly and working, and it would just freeze when importing files. Sometimes just restarting the program is enough, but others it had to be reinstalled.

The cracked versions of the stem separation app are older versions, but there have not been any newer builds released. Demucs and other slower options often give better results. They are all swirl generators anyway.
