Lol it's crazy, I was skimming through video randomly and most of the times it landed where someone said "AI", probably it's killer drinking game watching this for 2 hours and taking a shot whenever someone mentions "AI"

Not quite at their wits' end, but we need to come to terms with what's happening right now.
A lot of investor money has been poured into AI, and there are no profits yet, so they're going to force AI on us.

Firefox is supposed to get a "Kill AI" button. An "AI Kill Switch" is supposed to remove it completely.

We already discussed here in the forum last year that everything is getting more expensive because of customs and that we should stock up now. Anyone who was asleep at the wheel and now needs RAM is going to have to pay dearly.

Yep, and not only DAW users, pretty much everyone who wants a new PC, console, etc. The AI-race-bubble is absolutely decimating the chip resources, skyrocketing the prices and sometimes downright making companies stop selling to individuals: Crucial, Samsung SATA SSDs,...
The RAM, GPUs and SSDs are just the beginning. But only those three imply pretty much every personal device across the board.

Curious to see if Apple are gonna cover the costs themselves and keep their prices the same (which now seem exceptionally reasonable) or if they're gonna milk the cow to death along with the memory industry.

Thank God! I built my PC 7-8 months ago. I don't think I could've afforded it at current prices.

Market laws dictate that when something is scarce, it gets expensive. If there's overproduction or people aren't buying enough, it gets cheaper. If a factory is flooded, the supply becomes scarcer and the goods become more expensive.

Of course, Apple products are also becoming more expensive, firstly because of increased tariffs, and secondly because of the higher costs of sourcing products on the global market.

If taxes and/or interest rates, as well as labor costs, increase further, this will also be reflected in the product price.

Apple certainly has full warehouses; when these warehouses are empty, they too will have to pay the higher prices. Some companies also have fixed supply contracts where the price is fixed for a specific period. That's why the price shock only comes a little later!

Apple just had a very expensive trip overseas to secure their dram manufacturing capacity, no idea if they succeeded or not

They (TM) want to get rid of personal computing and sell us everything as a service.
They (TM) can fck themselves. I cancelt most of my services, only kept spotify for now (I'll change to something that treats artists better) and I will NEVER use nor pay AI. Stealing from humans and selling it back to humans - it's like a crime syndicate.

What he called theft of a bank against the founding of a bank, that is the classic redistribution of wealth from poor to rich.

The market capitalization of the seven largest US companies – Alphabet, Amazon, Apple, Broadcom, Meta,
Microsoft, and Nvidia – is €18.3 trillion, greater than that of all 7,500 companies in Europe (€18.1 billion).

However, according to an analysis by Handelsblatt, concerns about a tech bubble, particularly in the AI sector, are unfounded. At least not when looking at the balance sheets. The "Big Seven" generated around €550 billion in net profits in 2025.
