I think r2r is trying to catch us by surprise... made us think there was gonna be an NYE big drop... just to get us disappointed but then to drop the big fish some days later when we least expect.... *fingers crossed emoji*

 

Releasing VSL synchron player that had opened the opportunity to use those libraries shouldn't have disappointed anyone.

 

To me it feels like most of the NDSP/MixWave releases were more a response to FLARE than a deliberate teasing and were planned for later (esp. considering the relatively random selection and missing titles and that are obviously already 'cured' in the vault).
P.S. Maybe the 'wave' is/was supposed to be synced with the announced R2RSYSTEM.

Well, that was... nothing

 

well, it's still 5th for most of us (not after fifth), so If the 'prophecy' was true it just meant 'don't wait for anything until after 5th and then stuff might start rolling again (though most likely not in a wave fashion)'. I would rather Withes had some NY rest and patiently wait for a quality release (quadruple-protected plugins tend to have a lot of traps and such)...

But it was a good year, Omnisphere 3, VSL Synchron, Neural DSP, and many other great plugs.
