I don't think you've understood much since you've been here for so long and seen so many plugins. Check out Luca Pretolesi and all the Mymixlab lessons from the well-deserved mixing engineer. So you won't have any questions in the future. These plugins are already used by professionals in dance music where precision is required. Therefore, leave the matter of taste to the gods, but I don't see any point in using these consoles anymore. Check out the Fabfilter and iZotope plugins.

Super9000 strip looks great, but the price is a bit much. $4,000 for a pair of em. This is tech that they have had for years, just repackaged. Where's behringer when you need em? lol. The VHD is awesome on them tho. The switchable eq is great too.

I love working in my DAW and have millions of soundscan from my ITB mixes, I also love working on SSL's with millions of soundscan from SSL work, and I'm typing this with my API Box mini console in front of me... If you don't see the point in an analog console you maybe don't understand them as tools as they do what no digital tool can do. I have and love both analog and digital tools... but to each their own tool choices.

i was using 8 mono channels of the "E" 25 years back, as a little submixer for 808 and 909 sounds.

can´t comment on any of the plug-ins though, as i think they are BS.

Yes, I've used both Consoles for many years. I own a UC1 & UF1. The SSL, UAD and Brainworkx versions. The SSL E is my go-to. Its not the meat its the motion.

Just leaving a lil shoutout for 9000 J. Besides 4000 E, which, for me, is the classic nobrainer, It's like what 4000 G always wanted to be.
(Mostly regarding usability & sound here).

Then you should try to get the real thing. Oh, the joy of working hands-on. The transformers alone (on each channel) is warm magic cream on their own. I've had the fortune to work on these consoles, mostly the 4000G. The only thing slightly negative is the hunching/reaching which can put the load on your lower back.

I cut my teeth on a 48 channel 4KG console, still my favorite to this day.

Honestly I wish all musicians could experience working with analog gear to really get a basis of plugins vs analog. I was all for being in the box for the longest, until I got my first piece of analog gear and it’s been an obsession ever since. I know there’s thousands of engineers old and young across the globe wanting use analog gear but don’t have the funds even plugins can get expensive. I really appreciate audioz crackers, admin, mods for bringing the software to even make music with.
