This one seems like a gem, I'm really gay for tape shit like this: https://www.ffosso.com/instruments/tape-collages Crazy how I've never seen this anywhere before, thanks for sharing.
good stuff, i like what i hear, and i can only repeat: do not underestimate the simple priciple of layering.
Oh, so it's OT... Makes sense how well made it is, then. It also makes me wish it could be cracked. Definitely not a fan of paying 10 bucks a month to be a hostage. I guess I should pretend the free stuff is all that exists about it. Edit: just went ahead to try it, but I guess it was too good to be true. I think some people might justify having this, but I don't think it does anything I can't do with other stuff I already have. Some of the issues: Installs a background service on Windows Locked behind a login screen Is a full-blown application instead of a simple plugin (uses web runtimes, so it's essentially a web browser as an app) Just too much bloat and barriers to just make music. Maybe R2R can save us eventually! Last edited: Dec 23, 2025
Really loving these sounds, and is a somewhat powerful semi- modular synth / sampler. If this was paid perpetual, i would buy it, but im not doing a subscription
it's a little more than just a subscription, it is SaaS. When you uninstall it, you will see how much stuff it sprayed all over your installation drive. I used the two programs I normally use for uninstalling things on Mac, and I still had to delete a good amount of leftover junk manually using Find Any File. For me this one is a thanks, but no thanks. Most of them are.
So there´s no other way of making this other than being a chunk of problems all at once, background service running and all that jazz.
Maybe we could compare it in some ways with the UA software that owners of hardware Apollo DSP interfaces have to install to get their gear working. When you do the installation of all the UA software you actually need and the plugins you do own, their installer sticks you with a ready-to-unlock installation of every plugin they sell. This kind for "freemium" products have similar methods to have the free/pay plan types relatively easy for the end user.
Back when i was running UAD cards it felt like a product i needed, so it was not a problem, i guess these people dont know we already have 30 of these with each of its own having apps and subapps running. I´m sure they know they are not the first one we install, and 99% of us dont have IT guys installing it, why choose that route...it sounds kinda good actually, too bad.
What is your OS, please, little boy? FFOSSO needs an active internet connection to access your account and the cloud. You need to connect to the internet to create your account, to log in, and to download content. FFOSSO will also need to be online periodically to check your subscription status. Downloaded instruments are available when you are offline, and of course all projects will still load when you are offline.
I DONT KNOW WHO´S SHOUTING! I srugged my shoulders coz this thing actually sounds pretty good, but i´ve had enough mane.
