AI is certainly not a statistical word chainer. Thats simplistic thinking and likely linked to very early example of AI. If you think thats all it is right now then I cannot, with good conscience, say anything other than you are deluded and you need to educate yourself.

AI builds reason from increasingly rich internal representation. Your argument is conceptually wrong.

I'll probably go offline for a couple of years once I have enough plugins, and just make music.

I really do not believe anyone can speak for everyone. That is not possible. I also see no harm in using A.I either. You have some valuable things to contribute.

I think to put it more succinctly, if you mix it up then it will work a lot better. I believe it got to a point where nobody knew anymore what comments were actually your own personal thoughts and what was the A.I?

I do not think anyone who likes to see a different perspective objects to A.I. I believe it is more down to earth than that. If someone no longer knows what you actually think because the majority of posts are A.I, then they may feel it is a waste of time because they no longer know if it is actually you that is replying. Does that make sense I hope?
    Said with genuine sincerity.

I'm not speaking for everyone either; I've simply shared my opinion on the topic.

We voted here in the forum about using AI, and the condition was that the AI results had to be posted in a spoiler tag.

    Here are the rules:

Please use spoiler tags for AI ChatGPT comments—and/or bold notices at the top of prefacing comments, allowing other members to decide whether they want to read or skip them.

Normally, all copied text must also be posted with the source citation.

Wow you missed all the kindness in that post and focused only on a GENERAL statement that was also kind in its own way because I felt sad when you said "Sorry to everyone". I attempted to let you know why some unnecessarily unkind statements others have made might have happened, but I will not bother anymore because you seem to only go on the offensive. I will let you stew in the shit you get in future, even though I will say it clearly you do not deserve most of it.
    Ciao.

Come on @Somnambulist, first of all, thank you for your support, and I apologize if what I said came across as odd. You mean a lot to me, and I enjoy reading your comments. I write in German and, due to my limited English skills, I always have to use Google Translate.

Theoretically, I can usually tell who's just trying to attack me and who's completely clueless. There are also treacherous, malicious characters here, just like in the world outside. I'm open to criticism if it's well-founded, and I'm willing to be persuaded by the better arguments. Perhaps some things here aren't being interpreted the way you intended.

I hope we continue to work together in solidarity during these difficult times. AI is relatively new, already tested by some, and opinions on it are quite varied. Some are predicting the end of the world, while others foresee a wonderful future for AI that will improve our lives.

Thanks again for your intelligent, peace-promoting contribution:

Do not concern yourself about it.
If I may make a suggestion? If in doubt because some translation services do not work as well as they could and should, never be afraid to ask or say you may not be grasping the intent. This is a strength, it is not a weakness and it beats reacting every time :)

From next year there will be a new EU law (only applicable to the European Union) regulating the labeling requirements for AI; here is the text:

    AI Labeling

Requirement From August 2, 2026, transparency obligations from the European AI Regulation will come into effect, establishing rules for the use of artificial intelligence. Providers and operators of AI will be required to label AI-generated content such as text, images, audio, and video.

The use of AI chatbots—for example, in customer support—must also be labeled accordingly, as must emotion recognition systems and biometric categorization systems. "Consumers have a right to know when they are interacting with AI or when content has been created by AI.

Only then can they critically assess AI-generated content, protect themselves from deception and manipulation, and make informed decisions," says Christine Steffen, digital expert at the Consumer Center of North Rhine-Westphalia.

That looks good. Many people feel more comfortable knowing that they are speaking to a human or a machine. Most of the time, it takes a few questions to work it out. This way they can choose before they start.

Following user protests: Firefox gets a complete AI kill switch

After massive criticism of its AI plans for Firefox, Mozilla promises that all features will be opt-in.
An "AI kill switch" will allow users to remove them completely.

My first experience with an A.I. chatbot ended up with its lying to and being manipulative with me, and them trying to gaslight me when I called-out its lying to and being manipulative with me.

Recently, I asked a GPT bot to find for me information on the cause of death of someone I'd known a long time ago. It told me that she had died of a gunshot wound to the head from close range, and supplied other details of the crime scene, and added that a suspect had never been named. I posed the same question again a few days later, and it told me the same cause of death, but provided an entirely different set of circumstances, including her wrong age at time of death, the wrong name of her sister, and other impossible details. I corrected the GPT, informing it of all the misinformation it had provided, the inconsistencies with its previous account – and then told me no, I was right; she had died of complications of liver disease, according to this and that sources. I asked it to provide me with those sources, and it told me that it could not do that.

    What a lyin'-ass sumbitch.

I look forward to my future, living in a cave, playing my "drum machine", that I made by raising a goat and skinning it.

Because computers will become more expensive than gold, 90% of earth's surface will be a data center, and I guess most people will be plugged in an dependant on whatever bullshit the tech overlords shit out of their assholes.

Anyone have a goat for sale?

Remember that you're questioning a machine. You're talking to the AI as if it were a human.
Try visualizing the process within the AI. How does the search function? Why does the AI hallucinate?

Technology = both a blessing and a curse

If you unnecessarily dramatize AI development, it will become a nightmare for it.
If you love AI unconditionally, you'll become dependent on it and its scavenger.
If you use your brain, you'll surely find a more bearable path.

It's like with cars: accidents happen every day, but you don't get rid of cars because of that, you make them safer.
Please cross at green and always expect others to be stupid; it's the same with AI.

Today the best game of the year by critic and public, with multiple awards on all events, was removed from the Indie Awards cause they used placholder assets made with AI in production that were later changed with polished ones. It's less art I suppose, but you can't tell when you play it, is still one of the most moving writing and best art direction a game had this decade. Anyway...

Cars don't replicate themselves, write their own code and are not created as a neural network that functions as an artificial brain and that can control other cars. There is absolutely no comparison. There is no need to dramatize it's development as the precipice of our unalterable future is the next step, dependence the business model of the oligarchs implementing. There is no bearable path if you are a free thinking individual.

This is a shame because the way they approached it, and Larian in BG3 too, is the absolute correct way to do it: Use it as a first step, a placeholder to make sketches, to try out ideas. No real artists are replaced this way, it's just method to bring initial ideas to life quicker.

They serve as a sacrificial lamb and it's disgusting when you compare what they did to AAA-slopware. Luckily, buyers and consumers who have voted with their wallet, clearly know what's up.

What i see are multi billions systems not capable to give a right answer to a question any REAL forum fueled by humans, like a good sub Reddit or AS, can give you in less than 10 minutes.

It is capitalism down to his own toilets : trying everything to remove human proletarians from the equation.
Even if it needs 1 terawatt, 2000 NVIDIA chips to produce half backed "answers".
And the most ridiculous are ppl believing in this so called "intelligence" needing so much for that sh*tty result.

Happy to see this Ponzi pyramid falling down soon.
