Hi Guys,

Please recommend me Best / Simple plugin or library for Drums/Percs one shots
(basically anything with LOADS of Great Drum and Perc one-shots)

With a simple workflow like Omnisphere please - where I can quickly Audition them from presets menu - based on my Midi pattern (Omni is Great but lot of long sounds and not quick one shots for drums)

There must be a Simple plugin with lots and lots of Drum/Perc presets for quick auditioning

I've tried Klevgrand plugins - but personally din't like em (IMO not that they are bad)

Genre (if that matters) - Melodic Techno / Dark Ethno Prog House

XLN XO if you want to use one-shots, and not long samples. Loopcloud if you want longer loops, bigger library, little keyboard plugin to trigger samples in the app. XO is like a drum machine. Apisonic Speedrum2 is a good one, and TAL-Drum is nice also. Some people like Algonauts Atlas, and I'm not one of them. ADSR also has a drum machine that would work too.

Loopcloud is Great (for personal samples) - I have it
Lemme try - Apisonic Speedrum2 , TAL-Drum

 

XO is definitely not for everyone. They all have some pros and cons, so it ends up being a personal preference as much as anything else.

 

Something like Groove Agent, Battery, Geist probably, but as someone who is into similar genre's (melodic/progressive trance/house), can't really say I use or know much about them. I'm probably like majority into cherry picked samples loaded into Live/Bitwig stock Drum Rack or Sampler, Kick 3 for kicks and slice some exotic loop from time to time and call it a day.

But it's good to break out from norm and in that case I would personally look into cinematic stuff folks use for that ethno flavor, UVI, Kontakt and etc, Ethno World comes to mind, there's probably loads of more.

Sorry for useless contribution, hope someone will chime in with something helpful.

N honestly not a lotta producers rely on Plugin for Drums at least - its more of experiment with loops etc which I understand
I just personally end up wasting lotta time in Drums - cuz that's my weakness
So maybe Im overthinking cuz Drum sequencer already exists - if they don't work for me then issue is in my process not the market :D

 

Maybe Phalanx could click with you, it's more EDM oriented then most of the other offerings.
