I like the original version. I'm afraid your mix totally detracts from it's beauty. I only managed to listen to about 30 seconds of your reworking. Sorry it doesn't work for me.

    I disagree with that ^

I like London Grammar and I like Liquid Dnb so I think it's good and it works, her voice fits with Liquid well I reckon.

I'd play it out actually is there a download?

I would have left the original alone. I suppose I'm a bit long in the tooth for Liquid D'n'B and I really like London Grammar. Well done with the mix though.

The intro percussion hits do not match the rest of the mix. You probably added them just for a short "dj intro" format so someonne could set its' bpm, but they are not of the same quality of the other recorded parts.

It sounds very much like 1997 or so to me. That flange filter sweep fill is a classic element from that era, but it doesn't sound all that interesting now, and it appears too frequently. The mix of the actual break is fine, but it gets beyond repetitive.

I've never heard the original before, so I downloaded it just now. Your actual mix is good enough for a rough. But really, the whole thing comes off as a 97 bootleg as I mentioned. It's like a track made only for the purposes of a dj to play this specific song in a dj set. There is not a whole lot going on besides what was already there.

Nice lightweight version but... (IMO) vocal part needs a little bit color
Can I ask you how to get the acapella file? Thanks

Defo something that can be worked into a VIP mix or something. I have the track purchased vs just downloading via YouTube. I split the vocals etc. with Lalal.ai.

I appreciate the feedback! Yeah I tried to implement the original percussion of the track into the intro but I may have rushed that bit slightly.

What do you mean by sounding like 1997. I wasn't around then so forgive me for the silly question!

Back when vinyl was still the preferred media of djs, people would often make bootlegs like this and they would press up maybe 1000 copies and sell them as white labelled promos. Sometimes one-sided only, or they would add a b-side. But a lot of them were just popular songs like rnb, hiphop, etc. So they would add some breaks, do some edits, and call it a day; with the original version the majority of the track. So not what you might call a "real remix".

You track does not sound like 16bit 44.1 mix standards; it is obviously modern. I just mean the actual construction of the track. It was a very common recipe.
