I downloaded Superior Drummer 3 and I'm curious about the install order, patching, etc.

    Here is what I have...

    -Toontrack.Superior.Drummer.3.v3.0.1.WiN (~38.1gb or so)
-Toontrack - Superior Drummer 3 Core Library Update v1.3.0 (4.63gb)
    -Toontrack - Superior Drummer v3.4.2 (1.07gb)

I'm assuming I want to install in that order? Or do I do the core library update last?

Any other tips? Thought I read something about using a 1 work folder path so I don't hit a character limit.

    Thanks!

You can install directly the v3.4.2 (The software doesn't come with any sound library)
If you don't have the Core Library you don't need to install the update v1.3.0.
You can Download the Core Library (and update it) or any SDX/EZX Sound library and add it after installation.

The v3.42 on ss is an UPDATE ONLY. You cannot install that alone and expect it to work. IF you have the legit SD3 v3.42 in hand, that is a FULL install (not an update), then you could install that alone and have it work - BUT don't expect to run any libraries from ss.

You should install the core lib and any/all updates to it. You'll be happier in the long run.

In terms of install order, program files (the original SD3) and program updates usually come before library updates. By installing the latest program update you should be OK, if not SD3 will clearly tell you what is missing and what to do.

    I agree with @saccamano.

Also. If you take a look at the file "InstallerConfig" (will open in any text editor/viewer), you will see everything from Part 1 of the Core Library needs to be installed. Further, you will see that Tools Mic Bleed, etc... are spread across Parts.

If you want trouble free operation without "missing" alerts, install the Full Core Library & update (you should also install the Core MIDI v1.0.0).

You have the correct order for installation.

I think I might even be more confused, but I'll figure it out. Thanks all!
