is there a Way To Convert mse file Samples Made From Maize Sampler Back to a Wav file mac Thanks

 

Play the sequence or one shots it in your DAW and save the result as a wav file... after bouncing the track or sequence.

 

Because Maize sampler typically houses instrument samples, playing back every note with multiple velocities is generally impractical, especially if you have a lot of instruments.

It seems that MSE is compressed &/ encrypted because GAP couldn't detect any WAVs (or WAV without the header, or not WAV)

do mse files contain something other than audio? is it possible that i turn my samples into mse files so i can use it in a plugin like 808 trauma i.e.? mse files are often in the instrument folders and i really wonder if i can replace them with my samples....so i could use a plugin like a holder/vehicle for my own stuff. (i use kontakt instead, or electraX or sublab or whatever like a common sample player and it does the job tho...

the scripting in kontakt is difficult for me. i thought about maize i.e. as the simpliest way to make my own sample based "plugins".

really think kontakt is the way to go... it has so many possibilities that i think it would be worth to spend time learning that scripting. but i don't like doing stuff like that. what helped me was taking an existing simple scricpt and customize it. doing so i learned at least very simple things.

now my stuff has a reverb knob and black keys yeeeeey

MOCHA just released the tool for the job, "Sample Stealer v1.0.0 PUBLIC WiN-MOCHA", it's on the sister site.

 

Do you have a friend on here you trust that has a PC with MAIZE?
If so, if you can send them what you want converted, the sister site has a converter for Windows. Do not DM me with the request please, DM them

Alternately, if your MAIZE license extends to Windows, you could create a Virtual machine in your MAC, install Windows and the MAIZE Windows version and get the Win app from the sister site and do it in there.

 

MSE files (Maizesampler) can only be used, with Plugins made with Maizesampler basically.
And/or by using Maizesampler itself you can probably look into any MSE file.
At least, years back it was like that. It`s kind of a NKI monolith file.

You can't extract or even open mse files. Maize Sampler won't do it, it
will only load ms2 files which are the project files in Maize Sampler.

Yes the modern Maize MSE format is encrypted, you can't open it, it's the old Maize MSB format that's not encrypted,
MSB files contain raw WAV files, they're not even compressed.

I tried extracting samples from a Maize plugin a while back, before the MOCHA release,
I couldn't find any tool on the net, or even any documentation on the MSE format.

This is a world-first release, at least publicly.
