You need to:
( 0. make a backup copy of kontakt 8.exe, like kontakt 8.backup.exe in case things go south)
1. open kontakt 8.exe with a binary editor
2. search for "P O R T A B L E</text>" (without quotes)
3. replace it for what you want KEEPING THE SAME LENGTH (universal rule when editing exe/dll/vst3 files):

P  O  R  T  A  B  L  E</text> -> 29 bytes/characters
XOROME Rocks!         </text> -> good, still 29 bytes/characters
Xupito Rocks more than Xorome</text> -> wrong, 37 characters
Shutup Xupito!        </text> -> right, 29 bytes/characters

it is better with provided solutions, but still not as the original logo.

the player status generaly break the edit instrument option (this is not a svg part) but by chance there is a second hack made to force it.

the image attachement script is not working well, you should use an image hosting url instead.
the javascript here are also full of shit.

Everything seems normal but I haven't used it much. I'm not sure what you mean.

I simply changed the "Kontakt" svg and the "about" png. The only real hard part was to change the file size of the svg and the png to be exactly the same size as the originals.

I did a comparison with the original K8 Portable and the "certain someone " K7. Interesting... now I get what you said. The original K8 portable changes the width of the classic left panel when you click edit. Weirdly enough, with the "kontakt player" SVG changed nothing changes.
