Looking for FX (effects) for pop music in WAV as sample format..

risers, downfalls, uplifers, crashes.. and like that
could someone tell me if you know good fx packs?

 

I don't think I've ever used a riser from an fx pack before. It's so easy to make them yourself.

Here's just one example.

 

Watched Ian Kirkpatrick few times, so KSHMR probably and rest just cherry picking from Splice. Then again pop is such an broad term nowadays, but most producers ain't no strangers to Vengeance either.

 

any house music pack. There is nothing special in them and they shouldn't be too upfront anyway, so their "quality" doesn't matter in the end.
(If you are looking for less generic sound effects for more psychedelic pop music, you should use synths to customize the textures)

 

i know vengeance already... but their sample packs are now getting old.. the FX and Pop packs are some years old now. is there something new?

 

It's one of those things, you expect Pop FX or FX to be a name for something that you think actual folks who make that music use, but in reality those same people use whatever they can cherry pick on Splice and anywhere, probably you can find someone who have Pop FX 2025 inspired pack, but in reality he's reworking same old KSHMR or Vengeance samples that is actually in those flavor of the month tracks. Folks have been using same stuff for years, cherry picking random stuff, it's pretty much you download random pack, find few good samples, stash it in your library and move on to other, do that for years and voila.

Then actual sample might come from Vengeance - Essential Deep House Vol.2 like VEDH2 Uplifter 37 and other is from KSHMR Vol.2, something else you found on Splice after 5 minutes of browsing and there's that random thing you found in some random pack you don't even know the source from, because it's something named FX-27.wav.

If your question is there new standard like KSHMR and Vengeance for sourcing those, really don't know.

Caught Chris Lake's video where he discus this similar thing, like people making his inspired sounds and he said something like he just found random preset/sample, didn't really put this much effort into sound design from scratch and lately he's been even using templates and packs that are inspired by his sound as his main sources. So imagine someone goes lengths to make stuff he doesn't even make on his own either, pretty much reworking another source he actually used and it just makes circles at this point.

Vengeance is pretty much that, especially with their themed packs, so they put newest Essential (insert genre name) pack and plenty of guys that inspired that pack just used their older sample pack in actual tracks and it make circles at that point.
