Thats perfect. We need old school stuff back in our lives, i put my creativity in music, but i compensate with working out and taking walks, being infront of the computer as much as i am,,,, is bad,,, but i get music done! Anyway if you do some exercises and stuff bahh it's good enough, i mean at least 4 times a week, i go computer day, then work out day, and computer..

But yeah do stuff that just makes your brain activate, you can write journals, i heard and read that true geniuses like davinci, einstein, michelangelo and so on, they all wrote a journal daily, ive been thinking of starting doing it, but it feels weird, like i know what i did today, why write it, but i guess if you do it a lot it evolves to a system and opens creativity... idk but reading and writing is very good for our brain health... and building 1000pz lego :D

    regarding the OP.

Having AI tell you, you're wonderful & amazing, or shit and worthless isn't exacty a new phenomenon.
I'm sure we've all encountered some fairly fucked up humans who, for whatever reason, will mess up your head if you let them.

The scary thing is, AI is only just beginning. Where the hell will we be as a species in 5 or 10 or 20 years time?

By 2030 you'll own nothing and be happy!

Personally I don't see the powers that be having a lot of redundant humans idling about. The devil makes work for idle hands etc

Okay, right off the bat - nobody said you have to use anything.

A calculator is one of the worst tools you could use for your brain? Thats just foolish talk. Really. You might as well say that antibiotics are the worst thing you could do for your immune system.
Plus nobody said you have to use anything here. You don't have to use AI, you don't have to use antibiotics, you don't have to use calculators. You can just mosey along and not use tools. Good for you.

And I have to disagree with your summing up of 'balance'. Lets look at the evolution of the eye, for example. Would you prefer that your eyes were simple light sensitive spots that didnt give you any indication of direction, for example? Of course not - it's just silly. So better tools, with balance, is the way forward. I say balance because I mean healthy useage of these tools. For example, on balance I would say that eyes that can detect direction are better than ones that cannot. Therefore I'll happily go along with these ones I've got rather than seeking to damage my own eyes to the point where they better align with the simpler function that I see as somehow more fitting.

What I am saying is that it is necessary to take advancements in understanding/technology and find a way to use these things with balance. It's not a cop-out to say 'balance' - it is a legitimate goal when attempting to properly move forward while integrating these techs.

But I'm talking about assimilating and using this stuff. If you are talking about just not using it and remaining viable without it - yeah, probably fine. You know, we don't NEED calculators .. or facebook or antibiotics or anything else we've invented. You can run around in a loin cloth attempting to eat cats.

None of what is being proposed by technology is essential to uptake. It's merely offered to you - you can go about your life without giving it another thought. The trouble is, many around you will be picking it up and finding ways to use it. Ultimately the question for you is - does that matter?

Acustica Audio protection is Massive Trash I don't even want to be in Kontakt with. When R2R released the Smasher of that protection it Fattened my Sausage to a Komplete God Mode.

Ok. First of all, fuck Tebas who took down again this site when I was finishing a long multi-quote reply. Tebas, me cago entusmuertos pisoteados. Those who know, you know.
Second, praise me, I managed to copy it before the site went down. So like 6 hours have passed and I'm copy-pasting-posting it anyways. Yes, another bit of irony there from the other AI thread.

I get what you say but I wouldn't say this particular problem will mostly affect women. The average woman do have higher social pressure about her image compared to the average man. And perhaps they're more vocal about it. But this is more a problem worsened more by some social networks than AI chats. AFAIK.
The level of self-validation we're talking here I think is roughly the same for both genders. Just my opinion, could be wrong, considering I'm an outdated old fuck (and without updates. Like Windows 10)

My man @xorome replied better than I was going to.

I understand your point but for me this is a big qualitative jump over the existing ones. A chat that resembles a person 24/7. Designed to be addictive. For which one of the biggest ways is to encourage, agree and flatter you no matter what you tell it (almost).
Well, they're only mistakes as long they're harmful to you. But in the OP's case, if I were to do the same I'm pretty sure it would mess up my brain. I don't know how much, but quite a lot.
Don't overrate your friends, the disappointment will eventually bite your ass :winker::rofl:

Again, I agree. At least almost all.

    That sounds very... me?

Is it, though? A waste of brain space?

If someone in a forum thread complains that they nicked their thumb while working with a table saw, and the resulting discussion focuses on how to operate a table saw correctly so you don't accidentally lose an arm - is that also "a waste of brain space"?

Because, to stick with that analogy, the table saw has essentially just been dumped onto the mass market. The instruction basically says:
"Here’s an incredibly powerful tool that everyone can afford. You can build amazing things with it. It’s super easy to use. Just push the wood against the blade and whoosh, it cuts through like butter. Oh, and here's the power switch, btw! Have fun DIY-ing! Okay, bye!"

You are, of course, perfectly free to think table saws are stupid. You’re welcome to argue that humans got along fine for thousands of years without table saws. You can also think that discussions about proper handling and safety precautions are stupid. But people are going to use table saws regardless. And personally, I think it’s a good thing if they don't lose an arm in the process.

Square means square. What you are saying only makes sense if the word square was not present, which it was. It ignored the word square full-stop. If not present then you make perfect sense. You are hearing what you want to hear. This discussion will go nowhere.:deep_facepalm:
And you obviously did the identical test with every A.I out there? That is a very big NO. I am glad the one you tested it on read everything though. :)

Any discussion that attempts to remain rational and open to different opinions is a decent discussion and promotes learning. The moment any person thinks they cannot learn something new or thinks that they are the smartest person in the room, or assumes another person is stupid because they do not use a diatribe with a plethora of superfluous and esoteric rhetoric, or carefully leaves words out misquoting someone to reinforce their own points, then the discussion is a waste of brain space.

And you probably remember the advent of MIDI sequencers on computers, drummers complaining they couldn't play to a click track, how computers would be the death of music, etc etc. The same kinds of people who were complaining about those things are now downloading terabytes of cracked VSL libraries and complaining about AI now.

I feel less old reading that, thanks.
That one was a lot more prevalent than many people could realise.

Thats kind of why im saying find something real to focus on. If we choose not to use these "tools" it might be better for our own sake.

It has ups, but at what cost? and the only thing we can control is our own will of choice and what we focus on.

If using AI makes you happy then cool, but too me its nonsense. Its obvious that it has other underlaying ehm purposes for something different than what we believe.

It's not like we can stop it from developing, but focusing on good things is generally good advice and doesn't rly involve AI anyway, we live in such a information pressure like an atomic bomb, bombing our minds with garbage.

I mean facebook was cool in 2009.. Look at it now, and the way people communicate is such a low intelligence level, i'm not saying all ppl are stupid, but the majority are, lol :) and thanks to what? yeah TikTok, fake news, manipulation on screen etc form AI services, thats why i say focus on something real. Its just my advice and opinion.

    Regards

    Johnny

I dont even know what you're talking about, makes no sense at all.

Do you mean that we discuss how to use AI without repercussion?

You couldn't narrow your argument down to a more sensabel metaphor?

This is what i'm talking about, waste of brain space, say what you MEAN what is the POINT

What is the conclusion? You're just rambling and arguing.

Look, I think we get what you are saying. You've said it many times over here in this thread. You are basically saying AI is useless and stupid when compared to looking the other way, and just living without it. Thats your argument basically isnt it: Lets just not use AI at all.. is that it? Please clarify.

true. we spend too much time on digital devices and it messses up our heads.. we live in the digital world, addicted to it.. lately i thought of limiting my usage and going to nature more and spending time exercising... its good to distract from computers, phones.. its highly addictive

i have been going to nature, forest for months regulary and it really helped me to relax, de-stress.. and connect more to reality

It is a tool in the end, no point into getting submissive and fearing for the future, yes...i think as a result artists or sensible people will move closer to the nature because human nature will be on autopilot x10, why...because as we speak algos for "targetting" are being sharpened to the point where difference in swipe speed will give "them" the needed answer, which ad campaign will be the one with the best ROI!?!:rubbing hands:
(hopefully some of you tried runnng facebook ads, i did it for my mothers business long time ago)
    ..
For coding AI smashes, rn i'm thinking about some "hoover" app, translucent window placed on multiple browsers so i can run 3 AI's in parallel.

But most stuff right now works on the most primitive status chemicals, bunch of youtubers are mostly running their life on status, women also twitch half naked and so on, dudes get ripped and live "Alexander the great" lifestyle or whatever it is called, i thought when too many supercars are there they will loose the value but no, this thing just goes and goes, it runs by itself. It is animal version of hierarchy but with human values.

It is really not nice to say it outloud but when i hear AI ppl like Sam Altman talk and do word salads, i cant believe they run this thing..really bad.
Time is everything we have, one hour=1B$, rich ppl in their 70's wanna buy it from you! :))
